Main Street Donuts — Restaurant in Norman

Stopped into Main Street for the first time this weekend, given the solid online reviews. It was a bit busy, but that's to be expected on a Sunday morning. The staff was friendly, though, and helped me pick out a selection of donuts and kolache. My favorites was the Bavarian creme (a little underfilled, but super light/tender) and their kolache, which had a perfectly soft and sweet dough like I'm accustomed to having lived in Texas for a while. The only disappointment was the apple fritters (which I got multiple of, as they're my favorite) - someone must've forgotten about them in the fryer, as they were dried out and very crunchy around the edges like an overdone funnel cake. Still, the other donuts were solid enough that I'll chalk it up to a mistake and visit again...

This place is just a really great local little donut shop. I've been here a handful of times and I have yet to be disappointed. The service is always speedy and the workers are always cheery and friendly. (Special shout out to the guy behind the register talking Minecraft with my 7 year old this morning. You made his day) The donuts (yeast and cake) are always fresh, and on occasion, even warm. The sausage rolls are wrapped in their yeast donut dough and then glazed with some sort of sweetened butter. They're pillowy and satisfying and wonderful. This shop also offers other savory breakfast options such as breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches. With such a wide variety of options Main Street Donuts is sure to please just...

This place was great. Visiting from out of town, so my first visit. They had blueberry old-fashioneds, which are my favorite donut of all time. The donuts are so fresh and so delicious. The donuts were big as very consistent. Between us we tried many varieties, same result, all delicious. Even tried the jumbo sausage roll. That was freaking amazing.
