Wing It — Restaurant in Norman

I was skeptical when my friends initially took me to Wing It - it's a small, unassuming place tucked in a tiny strip mall. Thank goodness they did, though, because it has quickly become one of absolute favorite places in Norman. They serve up fresh, authentic Korean fusion - everything from wings to bibimbap. The wings are some of the best I've ever had - screaming hot and fresh out of the fryer, juicy & meaty, shatteringly crispy and doused in tangy homemade sauces. Their various rice bowls and stews are bursting with flavor and loaded with fresh and pickled vegetables. If you're a kimchi lover, you HAVE to try their housemade kimchi, which is perfectly fermented and spicy, without being overly salty or losing it's crispness. They sell their kimchi by the jar as well, which makes for a special treat at home! The only drawback is the inside is a little small, which means you might have to wait to be seated and your dining experience isn't always that quiet or personal. Very small place, it almost feels setup for takeout. Very similar pricing to other Korean bbq joints in Moore/OKC metro, about $12 for an entree. The portions are comparatively slightly smaller but still leave you very full.

Specific items from the menu: Their sides are small, non-refillable portions (pictured) but they are VERY good. Never had bean sprouts taste quite like theirs but they were super delicious. The rice bowls are GOOD. Everyone wanted the pork, I recommend a ‘4’ spice level. The Bibimbap (pictured, after mixing) is okay. It doesn’t have spinach and bean sprouts in the bowl, but the presentation was very nice. The wings are one of the cheapest wing options in Norman, and they aren’t bad. That said, make sure you specify a spice level, if you don’t then the wings may not have as much flavor since they’ll assume a lower spice tolerance.

Small mom and pop shop. The day I came here it was a Friday night and they were packed so we had to wait a awhile for a table but we patiently waited and it was worth the wait! I've also heard from others that they are always busy. Just throwing it out there because I watched a guy become very impatient about his order when it was basically one lady taking care of the entire store. But anyway, It's comparable to Bonchon if you've ever had it, but I felt like the wings needed to be tossed in a little bit more sauce. And when we asked her if we could have some extra sauce on the side, she said we couldn't, so we were a little confused why lol. Other than that, everything was great.
