Well coming from years spent in the service industry, many spent working and managing restaurants, normally I would never stoop to leaving a bad review. Normally I let the staff/Managment fix there mistakes. However, this establishment does not practice this type of common sense. The scene goes as this. I order at 4:25 on the papajohns app. Here gives me the estimated time as 35-45 minutes. As an hour slowly approaches, no food, and by the way the pizza tracker is no help whatsoever. It said it’s on the way for 45 mins. I decide I better call. I get Shannon on the line and let her know that I’m wandering wear my order might be. Let me call the driver she says and puts me on hold. Comes back and says I’m sorry it’s gonna be another 15 mins. Why Shannon I say my estimated time was only 35-45 mins, why so long, am I the last stop?” Sir your wait time said 35-45 mins. Okay shannon then why has it already been an hour? Am I the last stop of many? All perfectly reasonable questions. “ I’m sorry sir! Your just going to have to wait!” Says Shannon. So let me get this straight? I’m the person spending what few dollars I have, risk my health by ordering out, and buy food from an establishment no more than 5-7 blocks from my house. And after a long stress filled week I get, “ Your just going to have to wait!” Well wait no more Papa Johns! Because your going to be waiting a very long time til you see another dollar from me! By the way Shannon. My receipt has my Promise time and time left! My food rode in a car for 45 mins! Take a guess if it was still hot yet alone...

An hour and a half passed so I called again and again she assured me that it was on the way and if not there in ten minutes call her back. Two hours passed and I called once again, this time I spoke with the manager. He apologized and explained that they got really busy and had to call in DoorDash to assist with deliveries. Door Dash never showed apparently, so my Shaq pizza was not actually on the way, it was STILL sitting there, he explained. What??? My question to the manager was "When were you going to inform me that my order was not being expedited" and that I was basically out of luck and being blown off! He could not answer the question and I asked several times. Somehow he kept blaming DoorDash, so with no answer, I requested a refund and the transaction with cancelled. Thanks to the 'papa tracker' i can watch as my pizza gets made, then sits for an hour before they say 'driver is coming' and then another half hour to say 'driver is at the store.' Eventually, I get a phone call from the driveway, because it is cold, he didn't want to leave the pizza on the doorstep or a car or anywhere, so he called me out. So much for contactless delivery. But yh, They did give me a pizza within two hours or so on a day when I didn't feel like going out. So appreciated. I left about 10 dollars in delivery tips and fees to go that mile or so. Would have preferred a call that 'we don't have a driver' or 'can't do contactless delivery in this weather' or whatever. But I do like food in my stomach, so that's done. Anyway, will look for other services...
