TLDR; if you want to be defrauded and deal with an irate manager that refuses to refund your delivery order that was sent to the wrong address because of an error on their app, this is the place for you.
As a night shift healthcare worker, I rely on delivery apps every so often since I have to be stationed in the hospital from 5P-5A when our cafeteria is closed. Tonight, I ordered a burger for delivery off the Red Robin app on my iPhone. When entering the address, there is an auto-fill feature that was able to put in the name of the hospital I work at. What I didn't realize is that when I clicked on the hospital name, it associated the building with a completely different address that sent a pinned location to a parking lot more than a mile away from intended location. It needs to be stressed that the location on the Red Robin app shows it will be sent to "* *** Hospital" despite it being associated with a bogus address. Mind you there is no confirmation screen before placing the order to ensure it is being sent to the correct address.
Once the delivery order was confirmed, it sent the third party delivery app, DoorDash, the address.. Which was essentially a pinned location to a random parking lot. DoorDash and the dasher did not have the ability to change the address to the correct location after I made the purchase on my credit card. Since the order was not placed through the DoorDash app directly, there was not a way to move the pin to my correct address. After attempting to get in touch with the delivery service, there was a text confirming my order was "delivered."
I did not receive the food. I do not know currently where it was dropped off. When I called Red Robin, I spoke with a rude and short tempered manager that refused to give a refund for the order I paid $31 that I NEVER received. He kept repeating, "as soon as the food has left the store, it's out of our hands. DoorDash sent it to the wrong address." And that's fine if it wasn't for the fact you sent them to the wrong address to begin with. The hospital that was an available option to select on your app was associated with an address located in the middle of a retail parking lot over a mile away from where I intended it to be delivered.
Bottom line, if I order directly from your app for a service you offer, YOU are responsible for that order. Especially when your app had an error that directly caused that order being sent to the wrong address. I ended up reordering my meal to the correct address and paid an additional $27 which included cold, soggy fries. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. Especially dealing with an unprofessional manager that took no accountability for the situation.
I have receipts and screenshots and will 100% be pursuing my refund for the food I never received from...
Read moreI usually don't do reviews but, today my mom, 2 kids and I went to celebrate my birthday. Since my mom's bday was 4 days ago we decided to go and use our birthday rewards. 1st we request to be moved because we were at a table close to the restrooms and I could smell them. She immediately moved us when I told her. Which was great. 2nd I told the waitress from the beginning that we were going to be using our bday rewards for 2 of burgers. The 2 burgers were special orders. Both came back not the way we requested. No problem, they were sent back to be fixed. Management came to apologize and offered for them to comp the kids meals as well. We told them that wasn't necessary, but they insisted since it was my birthday, I said thank you and they left. The MGR came back and asked my son if he needed more of his drink and refilled his drink. Since management was the ones to come back a couple times I thought the waitress wasn't going to come back again because of the mishap with the burgers. I asked the MGR if she was going to be the person helping us. She said no, I said ok good I didn't want anyone getting in trouble for the burgers coming out wrong. She said no, that the waitress would be back to continue serving us. Our burgers came out and they were better, not quite made how we asked but, it was a lot better. One of the burgers that was requested to be well done wasn't well done all the way but half of it was so that's the part that was eaten. Shortly after we received our burgers the waitress came to our table and said they were having issues with the system and wanted to close out our tabs. We were never asked if we wanted any dessert, which I usually have the brownie sticks with the raspberry puree, she didn't even offer a refill of our drinks. We still had a $6 bill each since we added fries and extra toppings to our burgers. (We needed separate ordered since we were using 2 different bday rewards.) We also had a gift card that we were going to use for the remainder of the bill. The waitress seemed really irritated that we were using a gift card, I'm sure she thought that she wasn't going to get a tip. Mind you, she didn't deserve the tip,$10, we left because she pretty much forced us out and didn't really serve us, management did. She didn't even say have a good evening or anything after she took our payment. I try to leave a good tip for our servers when we go out to eat and I was really close to only giving her $3 as a tip because of the lack of service we received from her. I'm sorry for making this so long, but I felt that you needed to know from the very beginning to give you a better understanding of the type of service we received. To give you a time frame of how fast we were in n out, we got there a little after 5pm and the 1st time stamp on the receipt...
Read moreBeen here countless times, but today was the last. This isn't a rant, it's serious constructive criticism for management and corporate employees. Service has been terrible here for well over a year. I always cut them some slack if they're busy, or especially on their coupon days, but it wasn't busy at all today. That was confirmed by a zero minute wait to be seated. Anyone who frequents this restaurant knows there's usually a decent wait. I'd guess there were about 25, maybe 30 occupied tables in total, no large groups. Clearly less than half capacity. The hostess was going to seat us in the bar section (not at the bar) until the bartender rushed by and said I can't handle any more right now, sorry. He had THREE small tables, and ZERO people sitting at the bar. Seriously? So we were taken back by the patio door. I could count at least 6 waiters/waitresses, possibly one or two more, not counting managers or cooks. So even at 30 tables, and even only 6 staff, that's 5 tables per waiter. This wait staff wouldn't survive anywhere else. All the tables around us had people looking disgruntled. For the last year, all the waiters have had the 'I'm overburdened' demeanor when bringing food and drinks. I would especially agree when they're doing some sort of coupon deal, as they are always short-staffed on those days. You'd think management would be aware of these promos ahead of time and say 'hmm, we're the only location in the area, and we're doing a promo... we're probably going to be slammed. Let's have plenty of people to help.' Yet every time, it's chaos and a skeleton crew. That's why we've avoided the coupon events for a while. Today, we were seated, and after ten whole minutes of nobody even glancing our way, much less asking about drinks, we left. We knew from past experience we'd be there for two hours waiting for them to bring drinks, more fries/salad, and our tab (and we usually only get about two refills). It's beyond frustrating when you like a place, but no matter your waiter, it's just terrible service. I've only had one good waitress in the last year (can't remember her name... Jessica?), and I went out of my way to brag to the managers on that one visit. But that was a long time ago, and I haven't seen her in ages. She probably got tired of carrying all the weight. Corporate seriously needs to step in and plug the holes in this sinking ship. Based on other reviews, I'm not the only one fed up with the staff here, and losing regular customers can't be good...
