Bollywood Grill — Restaurant in North Andover

I used to go a lot there especially for buffet because the food is actually tasty but customer service is terrible as they don't understand you , what you are asking for, takes super long when it's not buffet, my friend and I literally waited for 40 min for one dish. That day we ordered a lot of food but we had to wait for so much time after we finished our appetisers that we were super hungry but nobody bother to check on us and it was also a non busy hour. And one time I went for buffet, and that day the food wasn't good particularly and on top of that I found a giant hair strand in my palak paneer and I told the staff member ,he took my plate and told me to take another plate and said nobody else found the hair. I was like that would be awful if someone else also finds hair the same day. He didn't care, didn't replace the palak paneer from the buffet dishes, my friends were just shocked how unapologetic he was. He didn't even apologize for the incident infact told us to continue eating. We couldn't eat anymore and I said I am not paying for my portion as I didn't even start eating the food and found the hair so why should I be charged? He after talking to manager removed my bill. POOR QUALITY AND NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH FOOD ALLERGIES. Took out food order of vegetarian dishes, nans and appetizers. The taste was bland, food not fresh, and upset our stomach too. Quality was not the usual! Very disappointing!!

Edited review to add more bad news. This place hardly takes food allergies seriously. Mentioned at least four times ( before, at and after ordering) to keep our food nut free due to severe NUT allergies in our party. When ordering told them that we will be happy to change the order if it cannot be prepared without nuts. They said fine. All our order was without nuts yet they bring out biryani which we ordered with cashew nuts really apparently floating around both on top and inside the dish. I pointed this out to the waitress and a callous reply was it’s just a few cashew nuts!! Seriously? If we go to an ER, would they be paying the bill? This restaurant used to definitely be better and it’s progressively getting worse now. The quality of the wait stuff, the condition of the bathrooms, the food quality, the availability of beverages, the knowledge of the food items by the wait stuff etc. is totally...

Not a lot of variety. Just 10 items in total. Dissert only one item. Lighting is kind of dim and not giving positive vibe. I visited few other indian restaurants - Mirchi nation in marlborough and Dharani in westborough which has lot of items. But at Bollywood grill the price is $9.95 and at Dharani $12 and at Mirchi nation it is $12 on weekdays and $15 on weekends. When I go out on a special occasion, I don't mind spending a couple more dollars for more variety and better ambience. Taste no better than the other two I mentioned.
