T.J. Maxx — Local services in North Andover

Honest to goodness, I have visited EVERY TjMaxx in this state and all of New England (my husband is a trucker!). The one in North Andover is the BEST one. Seriously. The only things that come close are the Home Sense in Salem NH (now) and the set of stores in Winthrop. I mean this is a great company, I have been loyal to it for years but the one in NA is special. IDK if the management changed or their store strategy changed overall but now this place is arguably better than a specialty home store and beauty supply for one. For any hair type the hair section alone is worth its weight in gold but for curly and kinky haired women this place makes me cry: They bring stuff that's cost prohibiting for lower income folks and even if this is not my hair type as a teacher I come here to buy things for my big haired students for their birthdays because I can afford to buy them stuff to show off their beauty that we otherwise couldn't afford if we shopped them in the higher end beauty stores. Now I share this because I was a teenager and I am a mom. While I don't have cultural or other issues with my identity nor my kids, hair is a thing with certain cultures especially those with any African ancestry. I have learned it can be a struggle for these to work with their hair and as such for the students I know that are I try to help because if I can, why not? Plus a lot of them have moms that don't know so if a baby/kid/teen (they're all the same to me) needs guidance and confidence, this store has helped me provide it for them. I come here every other week to shop to make goodie bags for to gift my curly/kinky haired students for their birthdays! Yes I gift my other students as well but I teach in a private school so as you can imsgine whike there's a bit of them there's not many hence why I can do this. This store is brilliant in this, they bring ALL the big and popular brands here every week. At prices that genuinely feel criminal. I don't know how they do it but from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!! Besides that every department here is killer. Wherever you are in this region this place is worth the drive. Plus the kids/clerks are so sweet and professional. I feel damned happy and proud to come here....

I passed by this evening nd had the worst experience with one of the managers could not remember the name but she was a Latina on her mid twenties . Rude , unprofessional so rude to her employee and bossy . Her costumer service is not much appreciated I hope she realized one day that were all equal . It does not matter if your are a manager or a housekeeper and what matter is how you treat people .the way y want to be treated . I can only imagine how they feel working in a such bad environment because her Attitude is making both parties...

Dot at the jewelry counter was the sweetest, most loving and kind worker I have ever met. I am in the hospitality industry so seeing someone like her treat me like family after only knowing me for minutes was unforgettable. I will be back to this store for anything I need because of her. Truly one of a kind and a woman who will always be in my mind from now on....
