I would like to comment not on the food, however, the subpar customer service from management/owner. My family and I recently visited this location on yesterday morning for breakfast as we typically do on Sundays. The guy at the omelette station was rude to my wife. We’ve noticed his lack of customer skills on prior visits, but instead we chose to ignore it. However, yesterday I decided to bring this to the attention of the manager on duty, who apparently was the owner. Instead of listening to my concern, his demeanor, body language and response was not of someone who was really concerned with my issue. Actually, he the manager/owner became upset because I informed him that as a paying customer, as with any paying customer, I told him that I demand customer service and respect. I further explained that any paying customer would demand the same. It’s not all about the food aa patrons visit this establishment, but customer service plays a big part of it as well. Mind you, I am upset, but not loud , making a scene nor being rude in my conversation with him. I even asked him if we could go to his office or step outside to discuss the matter, but he declined. In turn the manager/owner became rude and told me that I can leave because he didn’t like that I demanded respect and good customer service. I kindly accepted and received my refund, but to make this story more interesting is that as while my family and were leaving, the other owner comes yelling and streaming and yelling saying “get the hell out of here and telling the other manager to call the police.” This came at a surprise to my wife and I because not once during this encounter were we rude, loud, disrespectful when previously speaking with the other manager. Also, never were we rude or disrespectful during our visit. I guess the point that I am trying to convey is that this establishment visited by several people not only in the Augusta area, but surrounding cities as well. For the owners to ignore a legitimate concern, but instead become rude is something everyone looking to visit this establishment should be aware of. Again, it’s not all about food, however, people visit these locations for an atmosphere of good customer service and respect; not having to deal with rude behavior by the staff to include the ownership. If the owners are reading this, I am more than willing to have a conversation, but the people of this community and those who frequently visit this restaurant need visibility of how you treat customers with concerns are brought to your. I am not sure who else has experienced...
Read moreThis Golden Coral was excellent for several reasons.
As elderly people came through the line, I watched time and time again that a waitress would come up and ask first if she could help them before taking their tray. It was all these little bitty signs of respect and kindness and love been shown to others that impressed me so much that I will be returning to eat at this Golden...
Read moreUpdate 5-10-24 Friday approximately 3pm Salad bar-spinach, chicken, beets empty. Looks like a while since anything on the salad bar has been refilled Out of baked fish Waitress Amy/Penelope (is what was on tag) was abrupt and left plates on our table Whole establishment didn’t seem cleaned up when patrons left We appaently sat in am employee area as orientation was going on and a staff member promptly sat down next to us and started playing his phone on speaker March 2024 This place was great! My husband and I have gone to a Golden Corral elsewhere before and based on that one trip swore we would never go back. Well, we tried the one in Augusta and were very pleasantly surprised!!! The food was fresh as I saw the employees putting out new trays of entrees and salad ingredients out many times. There was an order a sirloin/hamburger (I think) area, carved ham and turkey, fried and baked fish. A wide variety of side dishes and vegetables. I was not in love with absolutely everything I tried but that is to be expected and if I wasn't a fan I could simply try something else. The many choices is such a plus for us because having a variety and to be able to portion myself was fantastic. The soft serve ice cream wasn't that great so I had carrot cake instead and that was wonderful. We went in the afternoon on a Friday. I did have to sweep off the seats before we sat down but that was of little trouble. The wait staff was quick to refill our drinks and to take plates that were done away. The front cashiers were also very friendly and helpful For the two of us to eat it was approximately $32 I unfortunately did not take pictures but I will next...
