We stopped here for some brunch this morning around 1130am-walked right in, waiter was pleasant took our order, we waited a little bit but the food was good. So up to this point we where all happy, we where a party of seven. We had two bills, when the waiter came back I noticed he hand wrote his tip on my bill and did the same for my friend. We spoke about this and each of us had no problem leaving a tip but we both agreed that it is up to us how much. So here is where it got interesting, we got the register and my buddy ask the guy at the register why was the tip written onto the bill, as my buddy was talking to the guy taking our payment the lady in the pic barges into the conversation and says it’s because of the Corona. I said what? She said it’s a suggestion that we didn’t have to pay it, that the Corona and why do we have a problem with paying a tip. She then shoved the my receipt toward the register and that got me upset and I told her I didn’t have to pay any tip, that we are both willing to pay but it it’s right that it’s being written into the bill without our consent, she was visibly upset and loud, She then started rambling again about Corona, why are we complaining that the waiters have to pay rent, why are we upset about paying 18% tip. All this while there are other customers waiting to pay. One of the other people behind us said to ask for a manager that this lady shouldn’t be talking to a customer this way. This is when another waiter said she is the owner. What a shame- it seems everyone is trying to take advantage of the Corona problem. It is obvious she is instructing all the waiters to write in the tips since she probably doesn’t pay them much. She figures the customer can pay for there salaries. From all the years I’ve visited the Coachhouse I’ve never experienced such an episode personally or with anyone else while at this place. I think I will be eating somewhere else, this is a good place to eat but it’s not the only place in the area. I know restaurants are hurting but honesty and good customer service goes a long way. The so called Corona has affected all of us one way or another not just the restaurant businesses. My buddy and I both paid the tip as this was not the issue.

I genuinely liked Coach House. In the beginning they were good and consistent. Lately food quality and quantity has been disappointing. Also I have had a few issues with take out orders. Today I placed an order for delivery. I ordered a cheeseburger deluxe (photo attached). $14 for this and look at the amount of fries given. That’s ridiculous. There were barely any fries. Also, you receive different fries every time. Sometimes it’s crinkle fries, then sometimes it’s regular fries. I used to order breakfast, and as part of breakfast you would get toast, 2 slices. Now you receive 1 slice of toast that is barely even toasted. Why only 1 slice of toast? That’s so odd. Another time I called to place a takeout order and was told that I wasn’t “allowed” to order a kids chicken fingers for takeout for my daughter. I then asked to speak to a manager because what kind of ridiculous policy is that. The manager I spoke with ended up accommodating but she also asked if it was for a child. I guess you’re not allowed to order kids chicken fingers because they think an adult is getting it for themselves. Regardless, if I want to get chicken fingers and I’m paying for it, what does it matter? The next situation I had was just last week, where I ordered grilled chicken and a side of home fries. When I went to pick it up, I was asked if I have ordered that before, which I have. Then I was told that I wasn’t “allowed” to order grilled chicken. At this point I’m annoyed because I’ve already had previous issues with Coach House. I then wait to speak with the manager and I was told that I needed to order a grilled chicken dinner and not a side of grilled chicken. Well put it on the menu then. My husband has stomach issues and can only eat a handful of things and he likes the grilled chicken. But yet I wasn’t allowed to order that? That’s absurd. My guess is because it was charged as a side and not a whole $20 meal. It’s disappointing because I genuinely liked Coach House. Lately though, all of these issues make me not want to order from them anymore or even go there. Coach House please do better. I have been a customer for years, this is not the level of service that one should be given.

Will NO LONGER SUPPORT A BUSINESS THAT ABUSES THEIR STAFF!! First let me say for the last 3yrs I swore the blonde lady owned the place!! she is there no matter what time or day 24/7 ALWAYS THERE!!! Never seen the owner until I was there wed to p/u an order! Grey hair & glasses lady! If you are going to verbally abuse your hardest working girls you have at register do it NOT WHERE YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE WALKING IN/OUT! The way this lady spoke to those girls was disgusting! ABUSIVE! How those girls did not walk is courageous to me! My husband felt so bad that he gave them all his card to hire them when our new business opens. Those girls are always running around fullfilling MANY ROLES & HARD WORKERS!

So now today experience! ordered a $54.00 dinner! steak was burnt and overcooked not seasoned and chewy! asked for the GM (expected the blonde) some guy (worked at the malibu & served me and husband @ counter a few times) comes to table; useless & dry! said "no thank you" to his discount or free dessert! dessert come with meal today & was hungry and wanted good food for christmas not no discount! Happen to luckily catch the blonde lady wave her over! Greeted us so pleasantly! " Happy Holidays" How's everything" Enjoying your dinner" Need anything" So of course like always she takes care of everything! removes overcooked steak, & instead she offered smcpi shrmp which I did enjoy! SATISFIED!! From one business owner to another: PAY ATTENTION! APPRECIATE YOUR STAFF WHO KNOWS THE BUSINESS! STOP BULLYING GIRLS WHO RUN YOUR PLACE! Talk PROFESSIONAL AND NICE!!! Show them you appreciate their HARD WORK! OR YOU WILL LOSE THEM AND YOUR RESTAURANT!! To the staff! you girls in front ROCK! I saw you all stressing over your work today while multitasking so many other tasks at once! If any of you lost your MOJO call us! we'll hire any of you in a second! Don't let any employer treat ANY OF YOU UNWORTHY! To the blonde lady operating this place for years:

Never change! Keep going! your customers and staff admire you! you have created a very well reputation for yourself! I really hope this owner treats you better than what I saw her speak to those poor girls in front! I'm so confused why this guy came when we asked and expected you for the GM- you! If you are leaving please get our card from the ladies in the front and take the girls with you..... all your customers will follow! As a business owner employees who work like you ladies is a dime a dozen nowadays! I've noticed and see/heard why no new employees stay! Owner is a BULLY to people making her place run in her absence! All she has is employees who been with the restaurant for multiple years! The last few times I've been there the food has been off I think you need new cooks too! And a better exterminator! You just lost a customer who has endlessly supported...

Well, l really really want to give this place a higher rating considering I've been eating there my entire life but my last four or five visits were pretty abysmal.

Last week the eggplant parmigiana was disgusting. I ordered it with pasta. The pasta was incredibly overcooked to the point where was mushy and falling apart. They didn't even drain it properly so there was a lot of water underneath the pasta once you got beyond the mountain of cheese covering the very very very very miniscule amount of eggplant you are encountering watery sauce mostly mush.....basically starch that has broken down from the pasta.

Surprisingly the coffee wasn't even good!

I was really hoping that they were going to have good pumpkin pie considering I was there just after Thanksgiving. I think I had the absolute worst pumpkin pie I've ever had in my entire life. It wasn't even fully baked. The pie was a sloppy mess with clumps of spice in random spots in the small slice. The crust was broken and falling apart.

The beef barley soup was actually the only good part of the whole experience. IF I have to come back here again the beef barley soup would be one of the few things I would get.

The restroom was pretty dark and dirty. You could see it hadn't been cleaned all day. I don't recall there being any toilet paper in the stalls.

But by far the worst part of the entire experience was this completely obnoxious family sitting behind us that was allowed to play videos on multiple electronic devices very very loudly as they screamed and yelled at each other.

It was a bit disconcerting to see a waitress bring a drink to a gentleman on a table diagonally across from us only to have him say, I didn't order this. She then grabbed it from the top of the cup and then realized her mistake . She walked it over to another table and handed it to another man who sadly for him had no idea that both the man at the table across from me and the waitress both had touched the rim of the glass.

This place is really going down the drain. Unfortunately for me I know multiple people who live in the immediate vicinity and I have to go there several times a year to meet them and eat.

I think from now on I'm just going to be sticking with soup, burgers and fries. You have to keep it really simple when you come to this place.

I have hope that they will one...
