There is a lot to say on our experience I On that place ... the bottom line is : MUST BE CLOSED ASAP... if not stay away from it!... and to "travelodge" PLEASE SEND SOMEONE TO CHECK THIS PLACE, OR GET RID OF THIS LOCATION, it will ruin your reputation. I ll will proceed by steps to share my experience BOOKING: We got a last minute DEAL of 300$ peer 8h of stay.... DEAL, 300$, 8H... the price is extremely inflated, is currently 100$ in the same moment I m writing this. The platform of booking was" Agoda" (p.s. stay away from them too... ) -POSITION: was literally In middle of nowhere, you expecting to be in Jersey City, close to New York, few minutes from big public connections... WRONG... 40 min from The big town and 30 from the airport in an not very accommodating industrial area... surrounded by worm and sketch people starring at the appearance not super friendly... I assume not polite as well... RECEPTION: Carefully decorated to transmit prison and degrade sensation, the bulletproof glass at the front desk and the windows finely decorated by jail bars are the cherry on the cake. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The person in charge, start chain calling us cause he was afraid for us to arrive after midnight and he was scared to be there after that time, then we understood why... at the legit question "whats the bulletproof panel ?" That was his answer "ooohhh... you will see... you will see..." Apparently after 23:30 all drunk, drug addict, and homeless start bothering the guests to get in the rooms ... that is the reason of all the noise and rumors coming from other reviews.
Now my favorite (please refer to pictures attached) ROOM: At the appearance a regular room, even with some space, nice and modern TV.... getting in the details... The bed were decorated with some curtains tied with a nice and stylish recycling transparent bag, the usual jail bars at the windows, dirty floor with some creative black stains, (not sure what was it), dirty wall with some red stains (hopefully paint). Dusty radiator, I don't even want imagine what was in the filters. No hot running water. Yellow (not the original color, bathtub. Old used alcohol bottle, in the trash bin from other customers. Bed sheets, in embarrassing state, with considering amount of human fluids everywhere. We slept on our beach towels and travel neck pillows. The good news we didn t see trace of bedbugs of other bugs. At soon sun was up, We literally had call a cab and ran away. Travelodge refuses the refund 👌 And agoda discharge the responsibilities! So far the most scary and intense hotel experience, In a fist world country 😳 ( maybe also in the...
Read moreTHEY TOOK DOWN PICTURES OF THE BED BUG AND MY FRIEND'S SWOLLEN HANDMUST READ** This place is the worst, it all started at check in. The lady who worked all the night shifts during the period of 9/21/18-9/23/18(period of our stay) was extremely rude, unprofessional etc, you name it. She wanted to over charge us cause she thought we lied about the number of people who would stay in our room, hiking the price from $250 something to $400 which she just pulled from the top of her head. Saying she'd sign in 5 people instead of the 3 we were. It was after she spoke to her manager that she started acting with courtesy but it was too late. She send us to a smoking room with no electrical outlets, towels, toilet paper and the bedding was worn out beyond warmth. That room would make you itch just looking at it. The following morning we requested a room change and the day shift lady was really nice. In the evening we started to smell as if an electrical gadget was burning, we immediately went to tell them and they sent a guy who touched something on the AC and brushed it off as fine. A few hours later my friend got bitten by a bed lice, we saw it crawling across our bed. We went to tell them and the lady started cursing at us in her language, she kept going on and on. Offered to change our room into another smoking room this time with just one bed.. we said we'd rather stay than inhale air filled with nicotine. She instructed house keeping to change our bedding and spray the room WHILE WE WERE IN THERE!! We asked him not to and we just spent the night sitting in fear on being bitten again. She offered no help, no medical help and said it wasn't her fault, almost making it seem like we brought that bug with us. In the morning my friends face and hand were numb and swollen from the bites. They still offered no medical help, the manager wouldn't speak with us! They insisted on giving us our money back! We were just tired of the back and forth with them so we took the money and left. In conclusion, it's better to camp in your car if you have one and save money than go to this place!!! (Pictures below.. I will not put pictures of her...
Read moreBooked a room last weekend, for an event we had. Everything was cool upon arrival. Shortly after the female desk clerk started her shift, we informed her that we were hired to take pictures for a wedding party and aren't trying to disturb or interrupt, she claimed she understood and further asked if we needed anything. My partner even went as far as too go physically talk with her AGAIN face-to-face so that there weren't any misunderstandings in which she stated AGAIN she understood and offered further assistance. We wrapped up our shoot, and literally drove 15 minutes to the Dollar Tree to get some food, and cleaning supplies because we found drug paraphernalia in the desk draw of our room, the female clerk calls my phone asking me to come to the office. Literally as soon as we walk up to the window, she starts yelling at us that we must check out immediately, and that we left our guest (THE BRIDE & GROOM) for hours when we weren't supposed too and that they weren't going to refund our money, she then refused to give me her name so that I can call Expedia about getting a refund, and they as well were calling the office to speak with her and she refused to answer their call. So we leave out of the office, proceed to the room and inform our clients the situation and we start cleaning up the room and loading up the car. As were walking back to the office, she called the COPS and LIED. We explained to the cops the entire thing and showed them ALL the footage, even with the one with her on it extending her help . Thanks Travelodge for...
