Wadi Scoops — Restaurant in North Bergen

I’m writing this as a concerned parent. My 15-year-old daughter visited Wadi Scoops 8/4/2025, and politely asked the staff if they could use a clean, unused scoop due to her food allergies. The employee stated that the scoop was washed between servings and proceeded to serve her.

Within minutes of leaving the shop, my daughter became severely ill. She began vomiting, sweating, and reported intense itching in her throat and tongue. She also broke out in hives. We rushed her to the emergency room, where she was diagnosed with an anaphylactic reaction. She had to be treated immediately with an EpiPen and undergo further evaluation and care.

I've called the shop multiple times asking to speak with the owner to report this serious incident and have yet to receive a response. This lack of accountability is incredibly disappointing, especially given how dangerous and traumatic this experience was for my daughter.

Food allergies are not something to take lightly. I urge Wadi Scoops to review their allergy protocols seriously and train their staff accordingly to prevent another incident like this from happening to...

A Sweet New Spot in Town! 🍦☕ We just discovered this adorable new family-owned ice cream shop, and it’s already become a favorite! My son is absolutely obsessed with their ice cream. The flavors are super creamy, fun, and clearly made with love. He’s already declared it the best ice cream he’s ever had (and trust me, he’s tried a lot!).

As for me, I was pleasantly surprised to find that their hazelnut latte is incredible! Smooth, perfectly balanced, and just the right touch of sweetness. It’s become my go-to treat while he enjoys his cone.
