Started out well with a very attentive and pleasent young lady taking our orders for three people. We all three ordered Wendys single combo meals. My wife opted for hers to be a small size. Thats what seperated hers from the others. We were asked for a name for the order and told we would be called when our order was ready. We got our drinks, napkins and condments and sat down to wait. I had a good view of the counter. Several other pepole came in and I could see them being taken care of. After some time I saw a tray placed on the counter with two orders that looked like part of our order. They sat there with no order call out and after someone's order (who came after us) was called out and picked up I went up to check on our order. After I got someone's attention they checked and said this is a partial of your order (the one I had identified as potentialy ours) we're still waiting on a small fry to complete the order. The young lady who took our order came over and said I dont know whats tanking so long. I asked her if I could take the rest of the order so we could start on it before it got any colder and she said yes. Went back to our table and two of us started on our meals (which were not hot) and waited for the other order to be called or brought to our table.
After some time and more people comimg in I had been keeping an eye on the counter. I saw a tray with a sandwich on it be placed on the counter and quite a few people be waited on. I saw the young lady look at the tray and say something to someone in the back and go back to taking orders. After another wait I saw someone bring a small fry on the tray. After a wait I went up to verify it was our order so I could take it back to our table. After waiting on someone to acknowledge me I got the order after some debate as to whose it was amongst Wendys workers and went back to our table. By now my son and I were finished but the joke was 'well at least Mom's meal will be hot' - joke was on us though as she said her fries were cold. Went back up to ask for hot fries which they said they would bring to the table. My wife started on her sandwich and waited on the fries. After however long it takes to make fresh fries they came out.
There's more to this but I'm tired of it. Bottom line is that other than the young lady who waited on us the rest of the workers as well as Management aren't connected to their work and go thru the motions with no thought as to what they are doing. One foot in front of the other attitude. IS MY SHIFT OVER YET?
All of this over a small fry and...
Read moreI waited in the drive through over 30 minutes. Probably more like 45 or more minutes. I went to this location because the staff usually knows how to make the sandwiches I order for my kids. Well, after the long wait. No apology from the careless, young manager who seemed bothered that I took the time to look at the food before I left to make sure it was done correctly. Well it wasn't. We were missing ingredients on the sandwiches and items with our order.
So, I waited another 10 minutes or so more for them to correct my order. The only sandwich I failed to look at thinking how could they mess it up because It's straight forward and well know, was a bacon jr with the biggie bag. I get home to a unknown type of sandwich. Two patties, cheese, mustard, and ketchup. No bacon, mayo, tomato, or lettuce. I should've looked at mine too. Now, I know.
But I will not be going back to this location anymore. I'll go to the Portage, then Applegrove locations 1st. They have management that doesn't train their new sandwich makers how to properly make the food to begin with then when they mess up, let them know how to make it. Well, if they were trained right to begin with, this would never happen. That's when the manager should've stepped in and done it, especially with the ridiculous lines today. The only one that cared enough to apologize and explain was the young man at the cashier window.
I mean, I think management is only there for a paycheck now a days. They never train or manage their employees, and never apologize or make customer service a priority. Good thing they're not in the medical field caring for people. If they were my employees,...
Read moreUnacceptable and strange visit yesterday. Only one table inside had diners seated, no one was ordering at the counter. We approached the counter, as the workers were in the middle of a loud conversation. They continued their conversation, although one kept glancing at me. After a minute, the girl who was on register (I had no idea she was supposed to be, as she was trying to open a sleeve of cups, and had not even LOOKED at us standing there) noticed us and said - quite unbelievably - "I'll be right with you" as she continued to try getting the plastic sleeve off the cups. Hon - PUT THE CUPS DOWN AND TAKE OUR ORDER. Our fries were dark brown, and looked more like burnt ends than normal Wendy's fries. My daughter's Asiago Chicken Club had no bacon, but she didn't want to go up and get it despite my urging. Asked for ranch and honey mustard for our order, got one ranch. Weird visit. Kids - pay attention to the customers and their orders. Your job is not a social club. At least it's not...
