Additional comments March 23, 2025
I was very pleased when I went into this location a few days ago and found the comfortable chairs had been put back in their original position. This now creates the wonderful atmosphere where customers can sit and either read or meet with friends in comfortable chairs. I have thanked the staff the two times I have been in but wanted to update my review. Of course the staff continues to be efficient and friendly. Now they recognize me when I come in and greet me. This is appreciated from a frequent visitor. Definitely my favorite location. Why? Because of customer service provided.

I usually go to this Dunkin location EVERY Day. I like to sit in the comfortable chairs and read while I drink a large coffee and sometimes a snack. I usually stay an hour or more. Today I was in shock when I walked in and the all of the comfortable chairs had been moved over to the windows near the front door and the tables moved to the opposite side. I asked the GREAT staff there and was told the District Manager made the changes. This will probably result in my not coming back to this store. When the chairs were on the other side it provided a nice library area for reading or having a quiet discussion away from the front door. Now everyone that walks in steps on your feet or hangs around right in front of you. There is no quiet area. The comfortable chairs should be back on the other side of the store!!! Candace and her staff are always wonderful. This is not their fault. I am very disappointed and will begin seeking another place to drink coffee and read. Maybe DD does not care it is losing a frequent customer. For Candace and staff I rate 5. They are wonderful. June 2024 I just returned from Boston, Atlanta, and Chatanooga and went in many many Dunkins during the trips. Today I went to my closest in Waxhaw NC and was thrilled with the service. The young lady was very friendly, assisted with my order, and helped me use points for part of my order and pay for the remainder. My order came out quickly and with a smile. Her name is Haley. I asked if she was new as I have had some issues in at this location in the past. But she said she usually worked the closing shift and had been there a while. Anyway her service was far and beyond the service in the other locations I have been in, even those in Boston, home of Dunkin. As a HR Professional, I recognize potential when I see it. She has great customer service skills and I hope Dunkin moves her along in her career....
   Read moreOverall, this Dunkin makes pretty good coffee most of the time. I go to this Dunkin Donuts almost everyday without issue 99% of the time. Today, however, I went in and ordered some food and coffee. I got 2 orders of hash browns and there was only one in the bag. So I went through the drive-thru again and politely said they forgot my hash browns. The guy on the intercom was polite and said to come to the window. When I pulled up, the dirty blonde headed girl gave me an attitude and said "I made your hash browns, let me see your bag." I was taken aback by this because I don't know why she would treat me like that for no reason. She then took my bag and went through it in the back for a whole 2 minutes. Who knows if she spit on my sandwich. She came back and realized she hadn't put the other hash brown in there but did not apologize to me for being rude. I said to her, "Thank you, but I don't appreciate the attitude." Her response was "I didn't have an attitude." WITH AN ATTITUDE. I don't appeciate being treated this way when I spend so much money at this store. I have worked at Dunkin Donuts before and have worked in customer service for 6 years.    Read moreThis particular Dunkin' has been problematic for the last couple of years, whether it's customer service, getting the order right or the long wait times. When I do go inside, I typically see the staff standing around and talking with one another, not paying attention to the long lines at drive thru. There have been times where the donuts I get are cold and stale like they've been sitting there for about 7 hours and the coffee, well it's not really coffee but more like water with a coffee taste.
I agree with other reviewers that the staff can be rude and not customer service oriented, the can be indifferent to your needs and basically they want you out of the store as quickly as possible so they can get back to talking amongst each other. Full disclosure, I only visit this location because it's close to my home and my daughter likes the doughnut holes but not the doughnuts...go figure!
If you don't mind driving a bit further then I would skip this location and go to another establishment that values customer service, is professional, courteous and willing to show appreciation for...
