I just signed up for the app with their new promotion of a free medium drink with any purchase. I am on my 4th day of doing this promotion and have ordered a caramel craze two of those days and received it free. I went to Surf City today, and the app must have not been working because the drink did not get removed, and I was charged for the medium drink. The manager, who was a very young girl, said that the signature lattes are not free. I let her know that I had already done this before and that I was just there the day before. She said I only get one and that it will not happen again. I asked if the app was wrong, maybe or is it just me? I showed her the app and that my promotion was until sept 9th and also showed her the small writing about a free medium drink, and there are not listed any exclusions. She said well I am not getting a coffee if I don't pay for it, and she will not give me a refund unless I don't get a coffee." She had an employee dump it as she said it right in front of me and gave me a full refund, and I left with nothing. I went to the Hampstead location and explained everything. The associate there said that there was an update on the app that morning, and she scanned my app, and I ended up getting my donut and free coffee there. The manager at Surf City needs to know the promotions and give the customer the benefit of the doubt. I wasn't very happy because she wasn't very pleasant but the associate in hampstead made everything...

I live down at topsail island near this store for about 6 months out of the year and go about once every 2 weeks. When I do either I hit them at the perfect time.....every time or they have awful invetory management. Everytime I go I get a normal coffee with added camel and a couple doughnuts ( I have a sweet tooth). They use to always have those items ( doughnut shop have doughnuts in Stock whhaaaaaat? *sarcastic *) about 8 months ago. Ever sense then they have been out of stock. Yes a doughnut shop out of doughnuts and 9 times out of 10 they are out of caramel. They actually had doughnuts last time I went, I asked the lady for the new s'mores doughnut and she literally went " ummmmmmmmmm let me see if we have them in stock..............oh...yes..oh wait....yes we do" they ended up getting my order completely wrong but I was understanding because the lady seemed young and new and they got it right. Read moreI have come here multiple times and service is ok. Their espresso machine is often down. However, ordering online was terrible. I made an order at 0935 and didn't receive my order until 1006. I had walked in three times and no one had a clue what was going on. Completely unorganized staff. One person said the espresso machine was down so they changed my coffee order (not a problem). The issue was how they handled the food order. There were order tickets scattered, everyone was confused. One guy was rude after asking if one of the bags was my order since I had been waiting for 30 min. Management really needs to step up on weekends to be able to handle high volume orders. The staff was all over the place and lacked communication.
