McDonald's — Restaurant in North Carolina

I just quit working for many reasons, one the majority of employees are rude, lazy and don't want to help new employees learn the right way, two management just sits there doing absolutely nothing at all and most importantly within the month that I worked here I came to realize that the place is infested with roaches and other bugs. I cleaned the ice cream machines every night and as I was cleaning the amount of roaches that were coming out is disgusting how the health department has not shut this business down beats me. I'm not from North Carolina but I recently moved down there, got the job within the first week of being down there. It is by far the worst job I have ever worked at, I was not trained properly, the management multiple occasions have yelled at me for not knowing what I'm doing due to improper training, and the place is just all in all disgusting. NOT TO MENTION MANAGEMENT SPENDS MORE TIME OUTSIDE SMOKING CIGARETTES THEN THEY DO MANAGING THEIR SHIFT LIKE THEY'RE GETTING PAID TO DO,!!!!!! The back of the place is so disgusting it's got a bad leak to the point it floods in the back where everything is stored not only does it flood but it absolutely smells like sewage cuz of the leak on top of that there is water damage in the main lobby on the ceiling that has started to become mold, and there is mold IN THE DRINK MACHINES THE FRAPPES AND ALL! THE SIDA MACHINES ARE NEVER TAKEN APART AND CLEANED PROPERLY Then the food is absolutely cold! I don't know how many times I have had customers come in and complain the food was cold and I politely apologized and corrected it. I even witnessed one of the employees while I was on shift yell at a customer on one of the busier nights simply for asking if her order was almost done as she had been waiting for a half hour, the customer was very respectful and in return the employee yelled at her saying your not the only customer waiting so do yourself a favor and go sit down until your food is up! I have 15 years of customer service experience and I have NEVER heard a customer be so disrespected in my 15 years of working for customer service. I now have quit and moved back home to NYS but if you want good McDonald's this IS NOT the location to go! The things I have seen while working in this place is so apauling it's disgusting! HEALTH DEPARTMENT DO EVERYONE A FAVOR SHUT THIS BUSINESS DOWN FOR GOOD! I KNOW I WILL BE CALLING THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND REPORTING IT ALL TO THEM. I WILL MAKE SURE THIS BUSINESS SEES ITS LAST OPENING DAY THIS PLACE MAKES SOMEONE NEVER WANT TO WORK AT MCDONALD'S AGAIN WHICH IS SAD BECAUSE THE CORPORATION REALLY DOES OFFER GREAT BENEFITS JUST THE STAFF SUCKS AT DOING THEIR JOB AND KEEPING THE PLACE BUG FREE AND UP TO DATE...

I’ve lived in Southport for many years. I’ve gone to this McDonald’s forever, but only recently have I had a very pleasant experience each time I’m there now. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, as well as professional. The management always smiles when they help you. The food is always spot on correct! My very favorite crew member seems to have joined the store recently, he’s a charming carry out worker named Dillon. I’ve had a few rough times lately during the past few weeks, but every single time I go through the drive through in my little red VW Beetle that has no air conditioning in this hotttt summer, Dillon never fails to say something to make my day a really good one, and he brings a smile 😊 to my face by going above and beyond the warm and friendly “customer service “ style that is expected . I wish I knew the names of a lot more staff members to shout out to them as well but, unfortunately I only know one of them. I just really hope they keep that crew and continue to outshine even Chick filet , who’s “pleasure” it is to serve us! I never thought I’d be so impressed with a McDonald’s but, coming from a background of fine dining restaurant management, It’s very obvious that whoever is hiring these workers is doing it based on wonderful personality traits. Coming back from the beach at 2 am probably anything would taste good. But the light was not on at the drive thru. It was 24 hours. I got a 6 piece kids meal with chicken nuggets, fries and a medium sprite. Because I knew that meal. I asked for ketchup twice. Got zero. Asked for two sweet and sour’s for nuggets. Got none. But I noticed this and asked again and got one. Asked for extra napkins. Got one. Eating in the car with the dogs I knew was going to be a challenge.

All of a sudden my hand felt sticky and wet. The sweet and sour’s was not open. But under the lid it was coated with sauce. Nasty! There went my one napkin.

The food was medium warm. I had to wait for it also. The fries weren’t cooked all the way. I got the toy though. The sprite was pretty good. It really hit the spot. No grass here at all to take your dog to the bathroom. But the hotel behind it has a great place around back. I have actually used this a few times now. Sometimes I stop at this intersection for gas.

I had to wait for the drink and the person was looking at me like lady go. And I said I don’t have my drink yet. This seemed to make her mad and she grabbed it from behind her. Someone else had made it. What was her problem? I didn’t notice any food issues until I got to the hotel parking lot. Or...
