So, I wrote a pretty scathing review of this McDonalds before. I wanted to come back and let you know they redeeemed themselves. They have been super friendly and helpful of late. My son was really into the Toy Story 4 promotion, and if you got all the pieces you can put them together to build the truck in the movie. Getting all the pieces is no easy task. The staff their went above and beyond to help me build this little van. My son was so happy. Wish I could post the pic. Anyway, I just wanted to post good news, as we seem to only focus on the bad. Kudos McDonalds Waxhaw. Well done!!
Let me tell you about my experience tonight at the Clown Show that masks itself as a McDonald's franchise. I arrived at the Waxhaw store at about 6:10 PM Saturday night. I ordered a kids meal and a burger with only ketchup. I looked the kid at the register straight in the eye and said no cheese either. I said " you got that?" He noded. I said that because 9 out of 10 times I go here I ask for the same thing, and the cheese is still on the burger. I dislke the cheese and it ruins the burger for me. I go here about 4-5 times a month because my 4 year old likes the happy meal, and it's one of the few things he actually eats. I bring the burger back to the register, and the manager tells me she made the burger herself, but didn't know that there was supposed to be no cheese. How hard is this to convey, really!! I never complain or write reviews but I was steaming when I left there. We sat at our table with the Number 11 sign on our table waiting for my burger to come while my son ate his meal. It is now 6:45 and still no burger. My 4 year old has finished his meal and was done playing at the interactive table. I am just dumbfounded by the response I got when I walked up to the front asking about my burger. A worker handed me a stale burger that was behind the counter and said " here it is" I asked why they didnt bring it to my table? The manager said I called it out twice. I said , I didnt here anything, and why would they not bring it to my table? I am supposed to leave my 4 year old at the table alone while I pick up their mistake? She then tried to make me feel guilty for not hearing her???? I said you couldn't bring it to me? She said I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE IN THE STORE??? REALLY??? You put maximum effort into looking for me in the sitting area I suppose. It would be real hard to find the 6'3 guy wearing a Yankee hat?? No apologies were given. No resolution offered. They just all stared at me. This is not a unique experience. This franchise obviously has a absentee owner, as no one ever seems to care. My bad for letting it go this long. All the lady was bringing out was door dash, never came over to the register to take orders until she had brought out atleast 10 door dash orders. Once she finally did, she overcharged us. When I respectfully inquired about it, she told me Iâd have to wait in line. I did, for another 20 minutes, respectfully. Once I got my refund, she laughed at me as I walked away. I asked her name and she wouldnât provide. I stood patiently each time she dropped off a door dash order and asked her name, she finally spoke and asked me my name. I replied âIâm Brett, nice to meet you. Whatâs your name?â. She replied with some name I couldnât understand but sounded like Shawnee. When I asked her to spell it she said no and walked off. I waited some more, since I had already wasted 45min, and asked for a manager when she returned with another door dash order. She said she was a manager. I asked for her manager, she said no. I waited again until I saw someone I thought to be a manager, and asked them for a manager which she said she was. When I respectfully shared my experience, âShawneeâ came running around saying she was the manager; and the lady I was speaking to that represented herself as a manager said âso what do you want?â.    Read moreI went there today. Drive thru was too busy, so I went inside to use the kiosk. I knew lunch wouldn't be served until 1030, and I saw that it was 1040. Kiosk allowed me to order lunch, but card reader would not allow me to pay. I waited in line to pay at the register. Cashier Shaquandra saw that I had ordered lunch and rang me up. I then heard a member of their staff say, "Who ordered 3 crispy chicken snack wraps? We ain't serving lunch yet? They so stupid!" Then shaquandra says, "Yeah, you going to have to wait 20 minutes. We ain't serving lunch yet." I said, "Well, the kiosk allowed me to order lunch and you rang me up, so why is that?" Shaquandra said I was being disrespectful, and shes not disrespecting me. I said give me my money back. She took her time, rang in the refund, left and went into the back, returned with cash, and refunded my money. I have had nothing but terrible service at this McDonald's, but its convenient, and I have kept coming back. This is the last straw, and told shaquandra I would not be back. She said leave then. I asked for shaquandra's name and told her it was for my complaint. She arrogantly said, "Its shaquandra and I'll call them before you can complain and tell them my side first." Never been treated so rudely at a business. No attempt to keep me as a customer. Good riddance Waxhaw McDonald's! I cant count how many times they've gotten my order wrong, and I had to return to the store and get it straight. McDonalds HQ should be ashamed...
