Be careful when getting dinner from Zaxby’s on westerner blvd in Jacksonville nc I ordered 4 meals, then 10 people after me that ordered got all their food got their food 1st I had to wait 21 minutes okay got home 2 orders wrong fries cold chicken cold (nice way to celebrate a 21st bday with food you can’t enjoy) I called the store manager was nice on the phone but didn’t do her job so I will be calling Monday to talk to the dm. Sorry but for $40 and only 2 meals made right but yet food cold not worth it. Usually it’s pretty good but between the food and idk why it took 21 minutes to get my order but yet everyone got their food after me and some had ordered more food than I do. But Zaxby’s sure did ruin a 21st bday dinner never again will I order dinner here it’s only time they mess up. Lunch is banging and orders right. Mcds would have been a better dinner than the meals Zaxby’s made us and that’s sad. Thank again Zaxby’s for ruining my daughters 21st bday meal I had to go her something else bc you couldn’t do your job and make food right and warm. I see Zaxby’s replied back asking me to get a hold of them bc the review ummm nope I already did and they did not contact me back my review stands I know how I was treated and the food that was messed up and cold food. Then no call back as promised from the manager at Zaxby’s. They can’t correct my food or call me back about this (as I already called twice) this place lost my business for awhile. Overpriced food on cold food and food that’s messed up and food that my kid can’t eat and had to go get her mcds meantime the reason we choose Zaxby’s that night to eat bc my 21 year old came 686 miles to celebrate her 21st bday with us and wanted Zaxby’s which was a terrible 21st bday dinner. Shouldn’t have to microwave the food to make it warm. Never again will I leave that counter without looking at all the food taking temperature of the food bc yall did me and my family dirty and ruined my daughters 21st...
Read moreI rolled into Zaxby’s with one mission: to treat my stomach like it just won the lottery. But instead of the usual speaker & beautiful ordering board, I was greeted by a very polite man holding a tablet...and a travel-sized plastic menu.
Now listen—I’m all for efficiency, but trying to order off that thing felt like choosing a tattoo from a gum machine. Like, where’s the big glowing billboard of temptation with all the extra-crispy beauty shots? Where’s the spicy limited-time sandwich I didn’t know I needed until I locked eyes with its high-def photo and whispered, “Yes, you.”
But no. I was expected to make life-altering decisions based on a menu that looked like it came from a kid’s play kitchen. Meanwhile, a second staff member stood ahead like a final boss, ready to take my card before I even reached the Promised Land—the big, backlit menu that was teasing me from afar like a forbidden snack.
Now, here’s where Zaxby’s flips the script and becomes a legend: the SAUCES. Oh. My. Zax.
It was like being in a 90s R&B video, but instead of rain? It was ketchup packets. Falling from the heavens. I half expected wind machines and slow-motion crying.
They didn’t pull a McDonald's and get mad at me handing me one lonely packet like it was a damn wedding favor. No, they opened the gates of flavor heaven and rained those packets down like I was the chosen one.
So yeah, the mini-menu left me emotionally unprepared, and I’ll forever advocate for drive-thru menus that let us feast with our eyes first. But the service? Solid. The food? Flawless. The sauce...
Read moreUpdate- The General Manager, Stacy, reached out to me and really made things right. She was understanding and extremely helpful. Not happy with simply refunding the fingers portion of our meal, she refunded our entire meal. Furthermore, she is going to work more closely with the staff at the Jacksonville location to see that this doesn’t happen again. She demonstrated how to handle customer issues with courtesy and professionalism and had changed how I feel about Zaxby’s now. Thanks!
Terrible place with awful customer service. I made an online order, picked it up, did a quick inventory before driving back to Richlands. Once home come to find out that the 5 piece chicken fingers was actually a 1 finger. When I called the store I was informed I would have to drive back to the restaurant for a refund because they could not find any evidence of my order even though I had a receipt with the name, items ordered and check number but apparently my order didn’t exist. With all the places to eat in Jacksonville choose almost anywhere else. If you like getting your order completed and not being treated like a liar while literally being lied to I recommend going to literally any other restaurant.
Update- my wife ate the Caesar salad and now has food poisoning. While there is no proof that it was the salad, many food borne illnesses are the result of salads due to most of the ingredients...
