My husband picked us up a 15 piece tender meal yesterday. I was on the phone with him while he ordered and the employee kept cutting him off and trying to argue with him while ordering through the drive through. Not sure if it was the employee that couldn’t hear or if the speaker needs to be replaced. Maybe I should have ordered online ahead of time. Also, the meal came with 3 sides and when my husband checked the bag or course it was missing one so he had to go back inside.
The employees are not wearing gloves or masks. I would think food service should always be wearing gloves regardless of current events. And the current city ordnance requires masks in public, but this location is not adhering to that.
I was really craving some crispy fried chicken. What’s more American? The chicken was NOT crispy. It probably was originally but probably sitting to long. Wasn’t soggy yet, just soft. It also tasted like they accidentally drop the bottle of salt it but figured hey it’s still good, can’t waste that chicken! I would say edible but not good. I would typically eat probably 4-5 and my husband would eat 10+. I had 2 and exceeded my salt intake. My husband had 7 trying to use enough sauce that the salt taste didn’t overpower. And the dog seemed to really enjoy the last 6. So if u are buying chicken tenders for ur dog, I would say 5 stars. He seemed really happy.
The Fries were good and crispy. However, we ordered a family meal that should have a large side of fries. Fairly certain we got a regular because that little sleeve was no larger than when I would order a combo with fries any other place. Googled it and it looks like a large is supposed to come in a square box. Fries get a 5 stars for taste but disappointed we didn’t get the size we ordered.
The Mac and cheese is supposed to be baked. Online the pic shows a lil crisp on top. Was looking forward to that. Opened mine, did not look like the pic. Not baked, but I would still say it was good. Mashed potatoes were fine and the biscuit was really tasty. And honey mustard sauce was good.
TLDR: my dog liked the chicken, I didn’t but the sides are good. Would like to see them following CDC guidelines and...
Read moreThis location has the most rudest staff I've seen, primarily in the evening. Placed an online order on or about 7/03/2024 and it showed my order to ready for pick up by 8:45pm, granted that their closing hour is at 10:00pm. First the doors were locked, so I decided to go through the drive-thru. No one answer via drive thru after extensively waiting patiently. Secondly, I pulled up to the drive thru window. There was a lady working FOH who looked up at me on several occasions without any acknowledgment or to kindly say that they had to close early. While in drive thru the store lights went off. As the employees exited the building, I proceeded to ask for the simplest way to cancel my order and receive a refund. Lastly, Before a few words could be uttered, I was immediately interrupted by the same lady rudely saying, "can't you see we're closed", while another employee (male) laughed as if what they did was funny. I am a restaurant manager and know all about most of the misfortune that can lead to a restaurant having to close early. However, who turns off the lights on a customer, leaves the building, and ignores the guest? Wow! There are an influx of restaurants chains in this area where recruiters expresses that the Charleston markets are the worst in the region pertaining to many restaurants, especially in fast food. Church's is probably on that list. Trust me this information is not private. It's not always "nobody wants to work", but mostly the lack of continuity and/or the antithesis of solid leadership from the entire corporate/franchise chain of command.
Too much to share...I know. Just like these employees thought it was too much to...
Read more14OCT23, at approximately 1215pm, I arrived to Churches on Rivers ave, North Charleston SC. After parking my vehicle, I walked up to the door to find it locked. No worries. Got into the drive in lane to order. I heard the lady (employee) on her mic say, ‘can I take your order”. I said good morning how are you doing. She replied with what’s your order. I went on to ask about the specials. She replied extremely rude and short, “ what about them”. I remained quiet in shock at her attitude. With frustration bordering aggressively she said, “WHAT ABOUT THEM”? I drove off not needing her attitude. Her demeanor is a reflection of management. She is in the Service Industry. Those in this industry are to SERVE projecting curtesy, respect and integrity regardless of their personal, professional or financial concerns. The “guest” should NEVER have to experience an employee’ s negative behavior. After all, the guest are who make sure employees receive a pay check and maintain employment. So disappointing this experience. No employee is entitled lash out their issues with hard working...
