Please don’t visit this location! Save yourself some time and go somewhere else. According to manager Matthew, new employees are the reason for incorrect orders, missing items, and himself hanging up on a customer when calling with a concern. We were given one drink and told “have a nice day”. We ordered 2 drinks and 5 food items. I told the person we had more items. Then a different person gave us a bag of food and the second drink. Before pulling off, we checked the bag to find that we were missing 2 food items. Could not get anyone’s attention for a minute, so I knocked on the drive thru window and beeped the horn. The person said they would get our missing items but they went back to making a drink. All while another employee was by the door talking on her phone with the drive thru headset on and talking with someone, who I later found out was the manager. After a couple more minutes, I knocked on the window again and told them I need a refund because I couldn’t wait any longer. The person yelled over to the person by the door talking who needed to do the refund. Mitzi came to the window and stood there, not saying anything. So I told her that I needed a refund for the missing items. She asked if I paid cash or card. When I told her card, she said she needed the card. I retrieved my card and she acted like me getting a refund was a problem. While I was literally holding my card out, she said “I told you I needed your card.” She was condescending and could use a lesson on customer service. When I asked for her managers name, she yelled across the restaurant to the person sitting by the door she was talking to. We had somewhere to be, so I took my card and receipt and told her I’d have to call later.
Upon calling, the manager Matthew answered the phone and when I tried to explain what happened, he immediately offered the excuse that there’s a lot of new people here today. I asked if he wanted to learn how he could do things better or hang up. He chose to tell me that I was being nasty and he didn’t have to listen. I did not yell, use profanity, or cut him off. He instead cut me off, wouldn’t let me finish a sentence, and hung up.
Dunkin’, if this is the type of manager you employee and promote, I will take my business elsewhere. A manager who is sitting down and hanging out with (I’m assuming his) kids while new employees are struggling behind the counter is not a leader! A manager who makes excuses to customers does not accept responsibility and will not show his employees how to be/do better cannot will only cultivate a culture of laziness and...
Read moreI've been going to this Dunkin donuts off of University boulevard in Charleston South Carolina for more than 5 years I used to go almost everyday now I go once or twice a week but it has nothing to do with Dunkin' donuts I just am not available to go there as much as I want to I have always been treated with the utmost respect and have always had the best customer service anyone could ask for I do remember when I had been going for a year or there about, when I had an incident and had to speak to the manager because of one person that very unnecessarily treated me terribly I can't help that I am an overly sensitive person but either way I'd much rather be overly sensitive been downright mean. Anyways, after I spoke with the manager I never had a problem again I even told the manager I don't want her to lose her job I just want to be treated with respect as a customer and I was from then on there's so much more good things I could say about Dunkin' donuts and the people that work there off University boulevard but I've already said so much I don't really have the words right now in Charleston and the surrounding towns most and almost all of the drive-thrus it seems they will hire anyone and once in a while you'll get a good person who treats you with respect as a customer but most of the time it doesn't matter how respectful you are as a customer or polite or nice it's like they just don't care and I find that very sad Charleston used to thrive we had people all the time coming to Charleston South Carolina because of its reputation and I just really think it's sad on that note I hope people can read these I'm not good with computers or telephones but if you do go to Dunkin' donuts remember to treat others as they treat you give them a tip and a smile or just a smile either way you'll be happy with your experience at Dunkin' donuts University boulevard Charleston South Carolina!! Thank you if you're...
Read moreWent to this location this morning. Ordered two coffees in the drive thru. When we got to the window, our order was there in the window and ready. Instead of greeting us and saying hello, the girl was talking to another employee and after that, proceeded to stock straws. Finally, after her still not speaking to us at this point, we told her we needed to add something else to the order. She told us she was sorry she couldn’t do that. When we asked since when, she just rolled her eyes and walked off. She was very rude. No greeting when we got there and no bye or thanks for coming when we drove off. She acted like us being there was an inconvenience to her. She has dark hair in pig tails and a nose ring. We go to this location quite frequently because it’s close to our house. Not anymore. We’ll be going to the location on Rivers Avenue from now on. It’s obvious this one doesn’t want our business. Also, just want to add that we went inside to order the extra item, asked to speak to a manager and was told there wasn’t one. Whoever owns this location might want to rethink that based on the way the employees are treating...
