This place had me like a kid in a wine candy store 😂...the concept of this place is very new to me... You're presented with a wine passport in which you can use try different wines from around the world at 3 different sizes: sample size,  6 ounce,  and 9 ounce with each being a different price value. Pace yourself though because every 16 ounces your passport is locked to make sure you aren't too sideaways 😂 but to unlock it just speak with a worker and back to tasting you go... Definitely check this place out!

*SIDE NOTE: Bring Military ID for discount *

See below for my limited Piercing "Wine" Review:

•Rezabal: spicy but good... Not overly spicy •Oenoterra: slightly dry... Would be perfect for characterize just like it said •Zoe 2021: dry rose... Very light.. Smells sweet •Duckman :ever so slightly bitter... Light and smooth •Foris 2019: sweet slightly lemon and peach smell.. Very sweet •Chateau Doid Vedrines 2017: smells like honey... Tastes the honeycomb,  very sweet... Too sweet for my liking as I kept drinking it

This review is based on customer service and not an actual dining experience

So I just called to inquire about purchasing a gift card ... I followed the phone prompt to get to a live person to which the guy on the other end answered the phone like it was his personal cell phone! There was no "Hello, this is Sail Away" it was a super dry "Hello" ... taken aback I had to confirm I had called a business because I have never had someone answer a business phone like that. He proceeded to answer my question about gift cards with drawn out "Yeahs" with no explanation on how to purchase or what my options were ... I had to ask question after question. Unfortunately due to this small but important interaction I will not be visiting this establishment nor will I be buying a gift card for my good friend as a birthday gift. I would be embarrassed if I sent them here and they got horrible customer service. This is not a good first impression. Please work on the phone etiquette and...

I've been to Sail Away a couple times previously. The charcuterie boards are decent. I feel the food is a bit overpriced for what it is. Trying all the wines is fun. And the live music is generally good. My most recent visit wasn't great though. Service was not great. The place was not busy, but we had to repeatedly flag down staff or go to the bar to order. One bottle of wine ran out in the middle of a pour and after replacing it, the server just pressed the first button, so while my friend paid $8, they got maybe $4 worth of wine. I went to pay and was ignored for several minutes. I get that the place is part serve myself with the wine, but the folks there last night seemed uninterested in offering good customer service, preferring to brood behind the bar or look at phones. Left a bad taste in my mouth. We walked to Mitch e Amaro across the street that had about the same amount of people and 1 bartender, but offered friendlier and...

We had so much fun here! New favorite place in NKC. It was great to try so many different types of wine (1 oz pours were great for this) and the self-serve system with the cards ("wine passports") was really fun to use. The food was great as well, we tried a couple flatbreads and the soft pretzels and everything was tasty. The all-day happy hour on Sunday (25% off all wine pours) was an unexpected bonus! We only drank wine, but it looked like there was a good beer selection as well, and sodas. Would be a fantastic spot for after-work drinks, or even a bridal shower/bachelorette party. The decor/ambiance was very cool and on more temperate days would be awesome to have the front garage door open. We will definitely be back many times!

This is a cute little hole in the wall spot that I absolutely adore. I have a membership at Cooper's Hawk, but I still come here to have my own personal tastings of other brands. First off all, at least here you can sit down and not have to stand at the bar to taste and converse with friends. The environment is very chill and laid back. They are also able to make some cocktails, not many, but a few. I love the pour dispensary options on the machines. They are priced according to the pour size you select. The food is good. I usually get a flatbread with a side salad. Delicious! Overall, it is a nice kickback spot in the Northland. Nice to meet up with friends or a chill date night.

Perfect spot for a date, to try some wine, or to catch up with friends. (Long/detailed review ahead) My wife and I have been here twice and love both experiences. They'll give you a card that will allow you to try different wines. Each wine sampling comes in a small, medium, or large (sorry, I don't remember exact oz). If you like the wine, you're able to purchase a full bottle. They have a small but good variety of wines for everyone. Plus, you can try some expensive wines without purchasing a whole bottle. They also have some amazing finger foods! We got the Reuben Flatbread, dessert flight, and artichoke dip. It was all AMAZING. Overall, I definitely recommend going sometime!
