This place had me like a kid in a wine candy store 😂...the concept of this place is very new to me... You're presented with a wine passport in which you can use try different wines from around the world at 3 different sizes: sample size, 6 ounce, and 9 ounce with each being a different price value. Pace yourself though because every 16 ounces your passport is locked to make sure you aren't too sideaways 😂 but to unlock it just speak with a worker and back to tasting you go... Definitely check this place out!

So I just called to inquire about purchasing a gift card ... I followed the phone prompt to get to a live person to which the guy on the other end answered the phone like it was his personal cell phone! There was no "Hello, this is Sail Away" it was a super dry "Hello" ... taken aback I had to confirm I had called a business because I have never had someone answer a business phone like that. He proceeded to answer my question about gift cards with drawn out "Yeahs" with no explanation on how to purchase or what my options were ... I had to ask question after question. Unfortunately due to this small but important interaction I will not be visiting this establishment nor will I be buying a gift card for my good friend as a birthday gift. I would be embarrassed if I sent them here and they got horrible customer service. This is not a good first impression. Please work on the phone etiquette and...
Read moreI've been to Sail Away a couple times previously. The charcuterie boards are decent. I feel the food is a bit overpriced for what it is. Trying all the wines is fun. And the live music is generally good. My most recent visit wasn't great though. Service was not great. The place was not busy, but we had to repeatedly flag down staff or go to the bar to order. One bottle of wine ran out in the middle of a pour and after replacing it, the server just pressed the first button, so while my friend paid $8, they got maybe $4 worth of wine. I went to pay and was ignored for several minutes. I get that the place is part serve myself with the wine, but the folks there last night seemed uninterested in offering good customer service, preferring to brood behind the bar or look at phones. Left a bad taste in my mouth. We walked to Mitch e Amaro across the street that had about the same amount of people and 1 bartender, but offered friendlier and...
