Champion Burritos Mexican Food — Restaurant in North Kansas City

This was my first time eating here and I have to say that I was very surprised by just how good the food ended up being. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was it's extremely clean environment. Then your eyes go to the 3 big flat screen menus right ahead of you. I was greeted by a very nice man who was there to help me if I had any questions. I ended up ordering the "Big Nachos" with ground beef, and my mom ordered 2 of the "Pastor street tacos". The Nacho's were absolutely delicious, and you get soooooooo much of it. There's literally enough nachos in this one order to feed 3 to 4 people! And the street tacos were delicious, the meat is slightly blackened/Charred which adds to the flavor overall. And we also received some of their homemade tortilla chips along with your choice of spicy or mild salsa, or both of course. The salsa is sooooo yummy. It has such a fresh, unique taste. And the tortilla chips are fried to perfection. I will definitely be coming back to eat here and am excited to try some of the many other items on their menu as well. First, burritos are amazing, hands down my favorite burrito joint and my entire family agrees. What another popular "burrito joint" (hint: Starts with Chip) always wanted to be but never was. The food is real, fresh, and tasty.

This place isn't some kind of "atmospheric experience.". It's a really dang good burrito place that takes just a little bit of time for your burrito to be made. My average wait time is 5 -10 minutes. However, they have a sign that tells you that it isn't fast food, it's good food really fast.

It's also more than just burritos. They have plates, platters, bowls, nachos, street tacos, carne asada tacos, quesadillas, etc. The Shrimp and Carne asada steak protein options here are good quality and quite tasty. Expect options like avocados, jalapenos, fried southern potatoes, chipotle rice etc. that you don't find in other places...

Everything I've had here I've loved and it's fresh and good. Hands down my favorite little burrito joint in KC. My only criticism is that I wish they were open more than just during the day. They would make a killing for the bar crowd in North...

It was the year 2023. I was young, lost, confused and feeling hopeless in the hour of 12:00 pm of March 30th - a warm, windy, and cloudy spring Thursday. The burden of deciding what to eat for lunch every day took a toll on my well being. That was until my manager asked me if I wanted to order from champion burritos. I turned into my inner shrek, and bit my lip as my stomach growled an intensifying growl of hunger. I agreed to such request and ordered a chicken burrito. My manager left for her quest to pick up the burritos of champions. As she returned, I saw a light at the end of the tunnel; not death - but a new bright look on life and lunch time. I took my first bite of my chicken burrito as I typed this. The feelings of confusion, angst, and hopelessness soon drifted away into the abyss with each bite into my burrito.
