My family and I have visited this Dairy Queen (DQ) many times due its location. It's rare to see this DQ very busy, which I can appreciate because I'm not a fan of standing in long lines. There is however, ample floor space to stand while you're waiting in line and/or waiting for your order in the event it does get busy. In the past, the service at this DQ has been up and down - sometimes the service is slow and employees aren't as personable; and majority of the other times, the service is impeccable.
On 3 Sep 2023, my wife and I ate at one of the restaurants inside Aliante Hotel and Casino and felt like having a Blizzard for dessert so we went to this DQ only to realize that it wasn't open. Unless this DQ is nonstandard, the hours of operations that was specified online mentioned that it was open for business, so I'm not sure what was going on. There were other folks waiting in front of DQ because they thought the same thing. I didn't see any signs that specify, "closed on this Sunday only," or perhaps, "closed on the day before Labor Day?" However, there was a red sign on the counter that mentioned, "Will return momentarily." But I'm not sure how long that sign was posted...could've been from the night before or a week ago? Oh well, the temporary closure enabled us from any unwanted calories so I guess thanks for looking out for our health?
For obvious reasons, I can't provide any additional comments from what I already mentioned above; however, I will add that the quality of their Blizzards in the past is standard compared to all other DQs in the Nation (that I've visited). I have no major issues with this DQ location except I'm hoping that this recent closure was...
Read moreI've lived here since 1998 and I've been visiting this DQ for as many years. Lately, every time I come to the casino to get a blizzard their lights are off and it's nowhere near closing time. Tonight, my wife and I we're eating at Rubio's and we noticed the lights off and a customer patiently waiting for 25 minutes before an employee appeared out of nowhere. But first, he walked over to Rubio's to apparently order some food and then he strolled back and turn the lights on. Where do these people go? There's no sign that says we'll be right back or we're short-staffed or anything, they just turn off the lights and leave. Very...
Read moreWe ordered 2 med hot fudge sundaes, drove up to the window and the gal said $9.33 we were like wow that sounds really expensive, then when we received them they were super small! When we asked the gal about it all she said was those are mediums. Now we don't go to DQ often but we do know the difference between sm, med and large and these were not mediums! No wonder the place was 100 empty at 12:10 pm. Look at the photos we should have been charge $3.09, this is ridiculous...
