So, I decided to eat lunch at Chili's today. I order the lunch special where you get 3 items: salad, shrimp pasta, and the monthly margarita. For the pasta, I asked the server if she could sub the pasta for broccoli. She said yes I think so. I said well if you need to go, go check and if not I'll order something else. She said she could do it and I repeated I don't want the past but I do want everything else, sub the pasta for broccoli. She said ok. I get my meal and the broccoli is sitting on top of the pasta. I said I didn't want the pasta, I wanted the broccoli subbed for the pasta she said I'm sorry. I said it's okay I'll just eat. As I use my fork to move the broccoli to semi-coat it with the pasta sauce, I notice there was no shrimp. I flagged my server down and said hey there's no shrimp. She says oh I thought you didn't want shrimp and instead wanted the broccoli. I said no, I wanted to sub the pasta for the broccoli, I wanted the shrimp. She said okay, I'll get the shrimp. About 5 minutes later, the manager stopped by and brought the shrimp and said there's no charge for the shrimp. I had one ear bud in my ear listening to tiktok. I said why would I have to pay for the shrimp as she walked away. Now at this time, I just way the broccoli and the shrimp and the bread because I did not want the pasta. I felt some kinda way thinking about what the manager said to me. When it came time for me to pay the bill, I told my server I'll pay the bill but would like to talk the manager because I didn't like the fact she said she didn't charge me for the shrimp when I never said I didn't want the shrimp. Manager came and I said hey Im gonna pay this bill but want to understand how to order this meal where I sub the broccoli for the pasta. She said you just tell the server to replace the broccoli with the penne pasta. She said I would have asked for them to remake it. I just looked at her and repeated what I said, I asked for the pasta and said to sub the broccoli for the pasta and she told me she could do that. The manager said all of the Chili's restaurants can do that. I said well there seems to be a misunderstanding with my server because she didn't understand. I never once said no shrimp. I paid the bill and left. Note to customers, make sure to say replace the penne pasta with broccoli......I guess the penne matters when you are explaining the order. Ridiculous! Won't be back. I UNDERSTAND THE CUSTOMER IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT! In this situation, I am having a hard time figuring out where...
Read moreFirst off I was a regular customer at this location. I usually eat there 3 to 4 times a week. I work in the Bar/restaurant industry and have managed and bartended at several local establishments. I came in on a Saturday night with a friend who also works in the industry. We had not seen each other in a while and we wanted to have some drinks and a bite to eat and catch up. There were two open spots at the bar and we ask for those spots but were told we could not have them. This was rather perplexing to me since I have on numerous occasions walked in and a spot at the bar was open and i told the hostess i wanted that seat and proceeded to go sit at the bar with no problems. We were then told it was a 45 minute wait for a table and we could give them a cell number and go outside and wait in the cold. At this point i requested a manager. I explained to the manager the situation ( he knew who I was because he sees me in there all the time) He stated we could not sit in the two spots at the bar because we were not WITH the two gentlemen sitting in the seats next to the empty ones. This made no sense what so ever. Before typing this review I read over the most recent reviews and notice several of the same instances of bad service have been occurring at this location. Refusing to seat customers was one of them. Poor management was another. Rudeness in resolving customer complaints was yet another. At this point we decided to go down the street and drink at your competitions bar. We had to wait only 30 minutes for 2 seats at the bar to open. The hostess allowed us to sit inside the warm waiting area unlike being forced out into the cold at your place. The drink special's were better than yours. I actually was able to order the same thing I normally order at your place and for the same price. Food quality was better and we were allowed to sit right next to other customers who were not in our party with no problem. I missed seeing my favorite bartender that was working at your place that night (Sara) but our new bartenders were great and on top of their game so needless to say I think I have a new regular hangout. My advance to upper management at this time is you might want to take a serious look at what is going on at this location. I personally know one of the gentlemen who managed this location for you in the past and he never allowed anything of this...
Read moreThe food was as good as any Chili's. Our waitress lacked a bit of skill in waitressing. She wasn't very helpful. We immediately made her aware that we were there for the message we received for the free kids meals. It took her a couple of trips to our table to clarify that they were out of children's menus. She tried to tell us what was on the kids menu, when she could have directed us to the kiosk or the online menu. Our meals were a ltitle slow in coming out. Then the waitress was again unhelpful when we had trouble with our ticket and the credit for the kid's meals. We don't go to Chili's very often so the staff shouldn't assume the customer is "trained" and knowledgeable about their menu or their technology. It takes the enjoyment out of taking the family out to eat.Thankfully the manager was able to clear things up and take almost half the balance of our ticket off as should have been done by the waitress. People go into restaurants because of ads, promotions and coupons. I believe that the workers should be trained so that the customer doesn't have to be. The...
