I was excited about this place. Finally, something in the old IHOP building here in Maumelle! Right off, it was a little rough. The hostess was on the phone when we came in and remained on the phone for several minutes, leaving our party and another before us standing and waiting. The atmosphere was good. It was classy but comfortable. Once seated, it took about 10 minutes before a server came to our table. We ordered 3 cocktails and 2 appetizers. The cocktails took forever, and we had our food before they came out. We asked 3 things times for little plates, silverware, and napkins before the plates and napkins arrived. The food was ok. I liked how crispy the wings were, but the Cajun dry rub was VERY salty. The cheeseburger egg rolls were OK. Finally our drinks came. They were HORRIBLE. My husband ordered the Refresher, but was served the Mojito. I ordered the Lemon Drop and our friend got the Blacker the Berry. All were extremely bitter. We sent our drinks back. Our main dishes came. Our party ordered the steak, the cajun pasta, and the patty melt. Overall the food was OK. The steak was cooked correctly, but had very little seasoning and lots of gristle. The patty melt was decent, but unlike the wings, needed salt. The shrimp in the cajun pasta had a good flavor, but the tails were left on which caused you to put your fingers in your food. Several different times other servers came and asked if dishes they were carrying were ours. Everyone seemed confused and it was disorganized. I'm glad we tried it, but we probably won't be back.

A Culinary Delight Marty’s Place is a restaurant that truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The elegant decor and soft lighting created the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel like valued guests. They expertly guided us through the menu, offering insightful recommendations. But the real star of the show was the food. Each dish was a hit out of the park. The Bang Bang Shrimp was particularly divine, a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The presentation was equally impressive. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers exceptional food, impeccable service, and a delightful ambiance, Marty’s Place is the place to be. It's a place we have added to the top of our Date Night places-to-go list!

5 Stars – Marty’s Place I’m literally still sitting at the table as I write this because the experience has been that good. From start to finish, everything at Marty’s Place has been fantastic. We ordered the salad, mac and cheese, chipotle chicken sandwich, and the patty melt with sweet potato fries (don’t skip the honey butter sauce—it’s unreal). Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. Timothy, our server, was absolutely top-notch—attentive, friendly, and on point with everything. And to top it all off, they brought us some of the best coffee I’ve had in a while. Rachel, the GM, even stopped by to check in and make sure we were happy. That level of care just seals the deal. Vibes? Immaculate. Food? Delicious. Service? 10/10. Highly recommend Marty’s Place—it’s definitely a spot worth coming back to!

A friend and I have eaten at Marty's place twice now. Our servers were very friendly, accommodating, approachable & professional as they provided upscale service. I truly appreciate these qualities. Ricardo, an owner, visited our table during both visits and made sure we loved everything. He answered questions, made us feel like VIPs, & treated us like friends and neighbors, not just customers. We had great conversation. I had a question about how a sauce was made & it's taste. He offered to bring me a sample. It was tasty and I wish I could remember the name of it. Our 2nd visit was about 2 months later. He came to our table again, remembered us and our entire conversation from our first visit. I was impressed that he remembered because he talks to so many customers and meets so many people. During our first visit, I had suggested to him that maybe he could spread his advertisements to additional areas in Maumelle/NLR. (My friend lives on the edge of Maumelle in NLR, in a very densely populated area, but had not gotten any advertisements he had been sending out.) He told me that since our previous conversation, during our first visit, he had indeed added 3 more zip codes to his mailers. Dine & Wine: Servers were very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. There's a bit of everything on the menu to fit your mood & budget. This is always a plus if you're having dinner parties with friends, family or associates. It's a combination of a more upscale dining experience in one area and a classier night life and sports bar experience for the big game or to just unwind after work. It seemed to be a great place for those going solo to make new friends. Adult beverage options are varied and servers are knowledgeable. It also seems to be a great place to take that special someone on a wonderful date! My husband & I are planning to go together for a great date night. I look forward to his dining there for the first time. Definitely go give them a try. You won't be...

I treated a friend to dinner at Marty’s Place on 07/27/24, which was the first time either of us had dined there. The food and the service were both exceptional! I ordered the salmon, as that is one of the items I will regularly order in any restaurant, when salmon on the menu. That said, because that is an item I have had at several restaurants, I have a fairly good basis for comparison. I can honestly say that everything about the meal, from every single food item I had (including the cheese cake for dessert), was nothing short of amazing—all very fresh, excellently prepared, and delicious! The service and atmosphere were also wonderful! Truly, Marty’s Place became my absolute new “favorite restaurant” on this, my first visit…and I am not typically one to be easily impressed! The service was also every bit as impressive as the food. I would encourage anyone who appreciates wonderful food and values excellent service, please treat yourself and visit Marty’s Place. I am not one to leave restaurant reviews very often and I am certainly not affiliated with or related in any way to anyone at Marty’s Place. Also, I am not, in any way, being compensated for my review. I am 71 years old and have simply had the opportunity to visit many restaurants “in my time.” That said, I am most confidently saying that Marty’s Place (both the food and the service) easily ranks among “The Best” I have EVER experienced! I will also add that my friend, with whom I had dinner, confirmed that she was also extremely impressed with both the service and food. My sincere thanks to everyone at Marty’s Place! I am looking forward to enjoying the wonderful food and service again…and...
