1/4/24 visit We eat here a few times a month. The NLR location is right next to interstate, easy to get too. They are always busy, and for good reason. 95% of the time, we have an awesome waiter/waitress. It’s always worth the wait in line. We usually have 5 or more people with us. If we go earlier in evening, we may weight 10-15 mins. When we go later in evening on busy night, we’ll have to wait 20-40 mins. Considering we usually have lousy service at other nearby restaurants, we decide to stay here and wait. They do offer free bags of peanuts at the counter, that you can eat while waiting. They say to just throw the peanuts shells in the floor which I do, but it feels awkward; especially if the floor is still clean (when no one else eating peanuts). As for decor, it’s decorated with nascar and country items; it’s really neat and is worth looking all around to see everything. There is a sports bars and multiple TV’s there. The dinning areas have tables and booths. The only down side is it’s loud in there. You sit pretty close to other tables, and can easily hear others people’s conversations. We almost always order the same thing, which I would recommend these: Fried Pickles (very good), Caesar Salad (really good), loaded baked potato, any of the ribs (their ribs are really good), cheese fries (we really loves those), and the free rolls with cinnamon butter (if the rolls are hot), and Steak. Most of the steaks we get are really good, a lot of flavor. Unfortunately, our past 3 visits, they’ve brought out cold steaks. It’s not a good sign when the plate is cold. A cold steak really sucks, 2 of 3 of ours steaks were cold. My son ate a few bites of his and quit eating. I ate about 5 bites and also quit eating. The only time I want a cold steak is at home when I take it out of the refrigerator to reheat. Obviously, at a restaurant; no one wants cold steaks. The steaks had a little warmth (barely lukewarm) in the center of the steak. I could put my finger on the steak, and had to press really hard to find that little warmth. Heck, I could have picked up the steak by hand and taken bits out of it, without the concern of burning my hand. We asked for a manager. When manager gets to table, I explain the cold steaks and demonstrate the coldness by putting my finger on steak for a little bit. She apologized, and offered to make new steaks; to which we agreed. Unfortunately, everyone else was finished eating, so they had to wait till we got new steaks and then had to watch us eat. Felt bad for them. 15 mins later, they brought out new steaks, HOT and juicy. She asked what we thought. I put my finger on the steak and it was hot. I said, “I don’t care how it’s cooked this time, since it’s HOT” my son’s steak was also HOT. We started eating, and I kinda rushed because rest of group was done eating. Felt bad for my son, at this point he’d lost interest in eating. Even though his new steak was hot, he only ate a few bits...
Read moreWe have dined at various Texas Roadhouse locations, but this particular visit was undeniably the most disappointing. After being seated at the bar, we faced significant challenges with our bartender, Cat, who appeared ill-prepared for her role in the service industry. Our attempts to receive even the most basic service required repeated requests for drinks, menus, the opportunity to place our orders, drink refills, and plain butter.
My husband’s appetizer was notably absent when his salad was served, prompting us to ask a passing server to prioritize the appetizer. Eventually, the manager, Christy, delivered it. Unfortunately, when our meals arrived, they were both cold and unappetizing. Not once did Cat check on our satisfaction; instead, she focused on counting tips with her back turned to us. My filet was served lukewarm, leaving me to resort to eating only my baked potato.
In an effort to address our concerns, I sought assistance from another server to bring a manager, which was the only time we received any attention. Throughout our meal, dirty plates from other patrons remained stacked beside us. My husband’s meal was particularly troubling; his pulled pork sandwich had an obvious hole in the top roll, suggesting it had been mishandled, and his fries were served lukewarm and limp. This raises serious concerns about the state of basic customer service.
The manager acknowledged our complaints and promised to retrain Cat, but we left feeling dissatisfied. She agreed to remove my unacceptable filet from the bill, as I refused to eat it, and also took my husband’s meal off due to its poor quality. Is it too much to expect a hot meal and fundamental customer service? Texas Roadhouse should take notice, as patrons will not tolerate such a lack of service.
While waiting outside for our Uber, we overheard several customers picking up to-go orders, only to find inaccuracies in their orders, which led to a stream of complaints. This further highlighted the urgent need for improvement in...
Read moreI’ve always had such a good experience at this Texas Roadhouse until last night, my husband and I went in with our two children. And we had a server named ally, when she came she got our entire order first which was fine, went and put it in, then when she came back, she brought our bread but not our drinks, we had asked politely about our drinks and she said that she was going right back to get them, then when she came back the second time finally with our drinks it took over 20 minutes, we asked for more bread, she nodded her head left and then came back she set the bread down and I said thank you, all she did was turn her head and left, not saying your welcome not even making eye contact. Then after that she brings out our food and looks at my husband and says do you want some a1 and I said yes please, still looking at him not even acknowledging me she says so a1? And he says yes please. She brings the a1, goes and about 30 minutes later our drinks need to be refilled and she’s waiting on the table next to us, as soon as we see she’s done he waves at her and asks hey when you get a chance could we get some refills please, where she responds, “yeah I was on my way over here but you see me waiting on those tables” very rudely and all we said was okay, and she says y’all want that in to go cups, mind you were still eating. We just go along and say yes because we were ready to leave. When she comes back she says how many to go plates do you want where I say just 1 and she ignores me looks at my husband and says just one? For the second time she ignores me and speaks directly to my husband. I definitely will not be going back anytime soon, I’ve worked before as a server for many years and it’s beyond rude to ignore someone and speak to their spouse over you. And when asking for drinks she was...
