Update to the update: Still the worst. Went through the drive thru a couple of days ago and ordered two small Quick Chicks. We asked for extra crackers and the girl at the window handed us about 4 packs. Went by today. Ordered two Quick Chicks again. This time no crackers at all. The only reason I still go to this one is there isn’t another one close by… food is good but the service is HORRIBLE.
Update: We have visited several times since the first review. Recently in the drive thru, they lost my order or something and it took forever. They did also give a coupon for a free meal. Depending on who is at the speaker, the person taking orders can be kind of barky. I start- “I would like The Chick” “ WHAT KIND OF BREAD?” “With white bread” “WHAT KIND OF CHICKEN SALAD?” She wouldn’t even let me complete my order without barking questions at me that I was answering already. I was actually on a phone call when placing the order and the person on the phone said “Wow. She was rude.” Things are still not quite as polished as other CSCs but getting better maybe? Hopefully?
First, when we walked in there were three employees in the right dining area chatting it up. We waited in line for a while and it was pretty slow. I overheard the girl at the register say they were out of something. What appeared to be the manager in a pink ruffled shirt was very flustered. She said “we cannot take any payments right now. We can’t take any more orders. Just change the sign to closed.” A girl walked over and changed the sign. When we got up to the register, nobody said anything about problems with payment. I asked the cashier if they were out of anything. She yelled at someone in the kitchen who replied, “I don’t even know what we are out of right now.” The cashier then shrugged her shoulders. I placed my order. We then sat down at a table that had slimy tomato guts on it. I cleaned it off with a napkin. Our food came with no crackers and no utensils. As we ate, employees meandered about trying to appear busy. The same three employees that were hiding out earlier hid out again by the drink machine and chattered about how they were closing early. Several employees roamed about in stretched out, oversized t-shirts and crocs. A few had hair stringing everywhere that made me sick. I love CSC. Maybe y’all need Conway’s manager to come give...
Read moreThe food was actually excellent and I been a repeat customer however I’ll never be a frequent customer solely based on their prices! They’re outrageously overpriced in my opinion but it’s definitely worth the very rare splurge! Their menu and recipes are fresh and easy to find online as they’re not exactly secret family recipes but common basic recipes that absolutely anyone can make at home for a fraction of the cost! I don’t personally cook often otherwise I’d just save money and make the different recipes myself! It’s just a bit surprising that with such a specific and limited menu when all of their main products contain the same base ingredients that they charge so much. In theory the cost for me to make to make a small batch at home should be significantly higher per servicing than it’d cost popular brick and mortar store that makes hundreds of services in large quantities regularly! So again in theory a restaurant would be able to sell that same chicken salad near or slightly higher and still be extremely profitable! So it seems like most of the charge isn’t justified or reasonably priced you’re paying for the franchise and greed not the actual work or cost put into the sandwich. How many completely brand new restaurants come to the market and within a mere few years have hundreds of stores unless they knowing way overcharging and using the profits to expand and convince others the franchise is worth it! So while I love it I don’t think they’ll be around very long! They’re going to be a fad like Crumbl was fast growing and even faster falling with over a 1000 stores closed in the past couple years and Crumb going bankrupt and closing all...
Read moreWe ordered the Classic Carol on a toasted wheat bread, Dixie Chick on a croissant, and a Turkey Pesto on toasted wheat bread with two sides, broccoli salad and the soup of the day, potato soup. We really loved the Dixie Chick. So delicious and it was perfect with the croissant. The Classic Carol was okay. It was too plain for us. If you like the basic chicken salad then this is for you. The Dixie Chick has onions and we LOVE onions. It was super flavorful. The onions enchanced the chicken salad flavor! While the Turkey Pesto was just a basic Turkey sandwich. We think that if they used smoked turkey it would be a better sandwich, in our opinion. Again, you may like this turkey pesto sandwich as it. We will back to try the other chicken salads and to enjoy the Dixie Chick...
