Crafty Crab — Restaurant in North Miami Beach

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant! I went in with my cousin and we got a table for two. We ordered our drinks and food and ate and when we were done we requested our check. Our check was about $83 and change. The server Alan/Alain took my card, walked away with the receipt that reflected what our bill was $83 to charge. He came back a short time later with a receipt that reflected a charge of $242.35 to my card! I could not believe it! He stated "my manager doesn't understand English and charged your card $242.35 for the Mexican party of 13". At no point did the manager herself approach the table to apologize or explain anything. I had to request to speak with the manager ! She reported her name as Heather and she casually and in a passive aggressive way stated that I would need to pay for the $83 bill on top of the error made on their end for the charge of $242.35. At one point after I asked to speak with someone from corporate about the matter the manager went and grabbed a can of Coca Cola from a freezer to give me. How insulting! She used the Coca Cola as though Coca Cola would remove the $242.35 charge to my card. She did not offer to excuse our initial bill due to their error. The manager continued to insist that I pay in total $325.35 for their error! She then went and got a black dishwasher / employee to reiterate what she said. This is important because I am black and this manager used a black employee as an intimidation factor. She sent the black employee her to verbally threatened to call the police on myself and my cousin because I refused to pay for my bill after they charged me for a party of 13! So not only did they charge me for my bill they also charged me for a party of 13! I am still waiting to hear from corporate and I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again. Horrible service. Horrible experience. This is not how you provide service to the public. Robbing us of our money. I would not recommend this place to anyone. This level of incompetence is...

This was my 1st time visiting this restaurant. I can personally say that the food was to die for. The waitress, Jasmine, that I had specifically stated that as soon as she puts in the order we would receive our food in 10 minutes. My friend and I were skeptical about that. Nevertheless, it was true! The food was hot in a bag with all of the fixings and seasonings. I just wish you guys gave endless hush puppies it would be great accompaniment to have with all the proteins.

I believe that this restaurant should focus on their level of customer service support. Particularly, on the staff members that first see you come into the restaurant. The ladies that were working receiving and taking orders were literally holding a conversation with in themselves. While I was confused to see who will greet us or ask us anything about waiting a moment to get our table ready. Because there wasn’t a hostess when we arrived. Waiting took around 5-7 minutes by the time someone finally came to ask me if we were dining in. Mind you there weren’t many people inside of the restaurant. This is before the dinner rush. This is not a friendly establishment. The only manager or supervisor checked on us to see if everything was okay. But we had to ask her if she could get our refills on the drinks. Be careful with the Flirty Bar tender, guys!!

So me and my girlfriend went there on a Sunday around noon soon after opening. Nice place. Loved the ambiance. Food was very good. We ordered fried oysters, fried calamari and fried tilipia fish appetizers. The calamari was slightly too well done for my personal taste but then again I did forget to ask for mine lightly fried so my bad on that one. They did taste good otherwise. The rest was great especially the fried fish. Defiinately getting their steamed bake seafood bags if we go back. Drinks were good. Bar tender was good but way too flirty and his Lazer eye contact with my girlfriend and even worse with him pulling up his shirt to show off his abs and tattoo to my girlfriend was very unprofessional, awkward and completely disrespectful. made us both feel uncomfortable and me defensive. I really didn't want to make a scene or get into an altercation which would have ended up really bad and messy so I brushed it off to avoid serious problems. We definitely don't want to experience that again. Didn't like that at all so be careful with your girlfriends and wives, fellas; I'd watch out for the tall slim, tanned guy with the man bun and green eyes if I were you.
