Cafe del Alma — Restaurant in North Miami Beach

What a shame of customer service. The space is nice but the experience was not pleasant. I ordered a salmon poke bowl without sesame seeds and I got the bowl with the salmon and avocado fully covered on sesame seeds. The salmon was pale and some areas were brown. I tried to clean sesame seeds from one piece of salmon but there were too many and even though I tried it, the flavor of the salmon was bland and dull. I asked the lady at the counter if I could change my bowl for something else since the order was messed up with the sesame seeds I didn’t want to and I also expressed to her in a kind manner that I didn’t like the flavor of the dish either. She responded I could only change the bowl for the same one but without sesame seeds. Then I said ok to the option she gave me. When she returned with the new dish, it was sad to find out they had removed the pieces of salmon on top of the bowl leaving it with literally 6 small cubes and they replaced the half avocado that came with it. Everything else was the same and they also scooped out some seeds inside the cilantro sauce leaving behind some of the seeds from my prior dip on the cilantro sauce and under the avocado. What a shame that this still happens in restaurants in Miami where there charge for a tip at the counter when there is no table service and when the customer is paying full price for a meal.
