Had a very bad experience. It seems they don’t encourage people to use Groupon. I bought Groupon for 2 hrs of Kayak rental and called them before coming. After reaching there, they said the kayak trip is cancelled due to weather (windy). Whereas their partners across the street were operating. I wasted 1 hr of travel time but I understand its for safety reasons. I asked the person if I can come back tomorrow and if I need to reserve, and he clearly said that I can come back and there is no need to reserve. Next day, I travelled back and reached there at 11am when they open. When I spoke to them, they said it’s a holiday and they won’t take groupon. It was so frustrating. I told them, I planned this only bcos you told me yesterday and the lady there said the person who told you was a part time employee and she is not responsible for what was told by him. She was super rude and shut the window on me while I was speaking trying to convince her. She said if I want to kayak, I will have to pay full price and return the Groupon. Overall I waster my time and wasn’t allowed to Kayak. I feel that’s a trick that they use to advertise on Groupon and then discourage clients to use Groupon so that they can sell them a higher...
Read moreWhat a bad experience. I called in the morning and told them we were coming for dinner. So after a 45 min drive we pull up and there isnt 1 car in the parking lot. We go up to the counter and the guy behind the counter keeps his back turned away from us. We walk around looking for where to order. He finally opens the window and there MENU is 7 items even though they have 2 pages online. I asked why only 7 items and he said because we are training. WOW. It also was taco tuesday and that wasn't an option. Lol we left without ordering chicken wings or kids hot dog. 2 options of 7 and if i wanted wings i wouldn't be going to a seafood area with seafood on menu. We ended up somewhere else eating mahi mahi that was great. Will never go back and the only reason we wanted to try it out was triple d. What a...
Read moreThis is an open air seafood shack and watercraft rental place adjoining the Oleta Adams park. It had closed during the pandemic and is easy to overlook. If one is coming on Biscayne Blvd, you turn onto east bound NE 163rd Street, and IMMEDIATELY keep to the right lane where the Blue Marlin entrance is located some 970 feet along.
This is laid-back, no-frills in atmosphere. There are just bare tables. You order at the window and food is taken to your table.
The place has two great dishes: Fish'n Chips (made fresh from fish - not from frozen fish sticks), and their in-house smoked fish pâté, as the congenial manager would likely say There is a covered seating area but it is otherwise very much informal. There is lots of parking; largely as the place is...
