Gorditos Bar and Grill by Kinoko — Restaurant in North Miami

A very good European friend who lives in miami recommended that we dine at this restaurant. Even though it’s new and wasn’t crowded when we walked in on a Friday night, the vibe was welcoming and warm. Our server , Mauricio, greeted us immediately and offered us to sit wherever we wanted. We chose one of the cozy banquettes. The music, large windows, huge panaramic tv , all made us wanted to stay and enjoy the ambience. We ordered the mussels to share and the chicken parm with mashed potatoes. Both meals were AMAZING in flavor and well prepared . My husband said the chicken parm was one Of the best he had ever had. And he’s ALWAYS ordering chicken parm. . I also had the lychee martini (one of my favorite ) and it rose to number 2 on my list of the best lychee martinis I’ve had. The number 1 spot belongs to a NYC restaurant. The chef , Adris, came out to introduce himself and ask about our meal. He has worked at a number of restaurants including Carpaccios at Bal Harbour Shoppes. He treated us to a dessert on the house , a strawberry flan, which was delicious !!! And I’m not a fan of flan. The fact that the chef came out to speak with us just doesn’t happen anymore in Miami, and Im a Miami native. The food here is absolutely delicious and fresh, with an elegant and relaxing vibe that makes the whole experience even better. Most importantly, the service is a solid 10/10.
