Casa Mia Trattoria — Restaurant in North Miami

After looking for days for a nice restaurant for our parent's birthday, we decided to come to Casa Mia Trattoria.

Parking is convenient but a little bit small, we were lucky to arrive just as another customer was leaving.

We decided to sit outside, When you walk in, it is an authentic family-owned Italian restaurant. The decoration is very old fashion, but lovely, true to their culture and style. The layout included wood tables and chairs, white long table cloths, white curtains in half of the windows, and lights on top of each table.

We were promptly seated and served water and delicious warm homemade bread!! So good! We ordered the Carpaccio di Manzo Tartufato and the Pepata di cozze e vongole as appetizers. We also ordered the Fettuccine marechiara, Garganelli ai Gamberi e Porri and Ravioli di granchio. The food was outstanding!!! Complimenti al chef ( authentic Italian food)

Homemade fresh al dente pasta and delicious, well-seasoned sauce! The proportions were big, the clams and mussels were fresh and tender ( long story short.. my dad is extremely picky with food.. he was fascinated)

We were about to order the check when they talked through the desserts menu.. the moment my mom close heard about Fagottini di mele.. her eyes sparkled. No words, it was beyond delicious!! Just perfect!! My dad ordered an expresso and please.. excellent coffee ( his own words)

This is my first time here and I met a friend who chose this restaurant. The food was excellent our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, it was presented beautifully and our wait staff was conscientious. For the amount of food that I got in the quality I felt that it was well worth the money. It is a charming restaurant once you are inside.

I did not think it fair to judge their atmosphere on their parking situation, but it should be mentioned. It took me 10 minutes to park and I had to circle the block twice, thankfully by the time I came back around there was a parking spot in the actual parking lot well my friend who recently had foot surgery had to walk across a very busy 123rd St… this is a bit of a hassle. Since it was a little bit hot the plastic flaps were down around to the outdoor seating, the only other negative that I would say was that it wasn’t clear where are the openings were and we are the entrance of the actual restaurant was, though I was able to figure it out in about a minute and a half. There should probably be an arrow or a sign on the flaps. But I am really being quite critical here.

I would recommend this restaurant and go back again even though I live approximately 20 miles away. The food was delicious and plentiful and the server was a delight and I felt that this was perhaps a family run restaurant. I had an...

Casa Mia Trattoria is the absolute epitome of fine Italian dining. The food is outstanding, particularly the fagottini, which are these wonderful delicate cheese and pear filled purses served in a vodka sauce with shallots and thyme that make me hungry just thinking about them! All of the pasta dishes are all homemade, and the spaghetti Casa Mia is a classic done perfectly. The specials are always outstanding, and the desserts, cannoli and tiramisu, are not to be missed.

If you'd like a drink with your dinner, their wine selection is wonderful and pairs perfectly with the food - don't be afraid to ask the staff to try something new, they know just what to for any dish and have some interesting options.

The staff is friendly, attentive, professional, and very consistent, while the atmosphere is cozy and elegant, making it perfect for a romantic date night or a family meal. The owner Paolo, seems ever-present, and makes sure every detail is perfect, he can often be found delivering a dish to a table when he's not in the kitchen making sure everything is running smoothly, or warmly greeting guests. Casa Mia Trattoria is a long standing favorite of mine, I'll even argue that it may well be the best Italian restaurant in Miami, so don't miss out on this outstanding dining experience.
