As a local (who’s a little younger than most locals ;) and always looking for the best restaurants here at the beach) and def a “foodie”— I have to give a rave review for Benny’s. truly it’s a hidden gem here in NMB and it’s hands-down my favorite restaurant in the area. from the food truly being homemade and not off a mass food truck to the service, it’s 10/10. When my girlfriends come down (I split time 50/50 between here and Charlotte) this is always our first night’s dinner bc we *love it* that much! :) it’s a hard time for all small biz’ and just wanted to make sure I left a review— if I could give 100/100 I would! lastly: order the mussels + bread + clam linguine + their wine menu is always great. xx

I took my girlfriend out for her birthday and she loves Italian . It was amazing , our server Leeann was a sweetheart! They didn’t have chicken parmigiana on the menu but she told me that the chef had no problem making it for me ! The atmosphere was so beautiful and romantic 💙 . The sweet pepper wrapped sausage appetizer was to die for . And the Lemmon pie desert was so amazing , you can tell they make everything in house , including the whipped cream ! Which is hard to find , most restaurants just serve frozen pre packaged food now adays .

The food was amazing! We were a party of 10-both adults and kids loved everything they ordered. The fried calamari was cooked perfectly, not chewy or greasy and had a nice, light breading. The vodka sauce was some of the best we have ever had! Portions were just right, and the menu had a nice variety without being overwhelming. The garlic bread is a must, along with the homemade blue cheese dressing on the house salad! The snickers pie for dessert was unbelievable. Benny’s will be a must visit each year while vacationing!

This restaurant is extremely welcoming. From the Gentleman who greeted us at the door to the wait staff, everyone made us feel welcome. That’s not always the case in a resort town, but they do a good job of it here. Their menu is small and variable, which to me is a treat as the kitchen staff gets a chance to perfect a few dishes for diners. Our waitress was quick to let us know that the kitchen could also prepare some standards that aren’t on the menu, but everyone found something to their liking on the menu. The prices are higher than what you would see at a chain, but very reasonable considering the quality of the meal. My grilled pork chop was very tasty with a tomato and olive sauce on it that worked very well. I got a chance to try the entrees from others in my party. All were very good if not excellent. Some highlights: their meat sauce was terrific as well as their Italian sausage. Two in our party got Snapper piccata and that was so good that I'll definitely get it if they have it next time we come. All meats and fish were cooked perfectly. Garlic bread is a slight upcharge, but well worth it. The only criticism I can come up with is that their house salad dressing tasted like it was only mid-level olive oil. I didn’t get a hint of vinegar or any herbs in it. Other than that, this is a place that can become a favorite after one...

Just had an awful experience at this place with a friend. What started as a nice dinner turned very sour. My friend didn't like his main dish which he said was too fishy. While yes, it was seafood lasagna, you still don’t want your fish tasting like the end of a fishing pier. He also ordered a glass of red wine that came out chilled which our server told us all the red wine is kept cooled. Bartending 101 is you don’t chill red wine unless maybe it is a sparkling or dessert red wine. I guess our server told the owner of our misfortune at which point he came flying out of the kitchen aggressively and harassed my friend stating “it’s one of our best dishes and we’ve sold 34 tonight”. Basically asking my friend what his problem was Instead of trying to help or better the situation. It was reminiscent of a little boy who got his feelings hurt instead of a grown man taking constructive criticism. Not everyone is going to like every dish all the time. That’s just life. He continued to harass my friend complaining and really simply whining that someone didn’t like his food until we were out the door. It’s just not how you handle a situation as owner of...

My family and I ate there for the first time last night. There were six of us including my picky 6 year old and my 10 year old daughter. The food was very good, and the service was amazing. Our server Olya was on top of everything while working 2 or 3 other tables. She was super sweet and never forgot anything we asked for. We never went too long without someone checking on us. I am not a big Italian food person, but I tried a little bit of everyone's food and everything was delicious. We ordered the swordfish, the baked stuffed shells, lobster ravioli, mussels, meatballs (my son), and eggplant Parmisan. We also got desserts but honestly I was so stuffed by that point I did not try everyone's. I could barely eat mine. I had the lemoncello cake and it was pretty tasty.

The restaurant highlighted the coffee and dessert per Google, and I have to say the Espresso I had was the best I've ever had. On a side note they have really great bread too! We had both the garlic and plain and it was just perfect. It was expensive but we were very pleased with the experience and will delicately go back before the end of...
