EDIT::: since I can’t reply back to the response I just got from the restaurant I will say this…. It’s mighty funny how we weren’t offered a high chair but a Caucasian family was greeted IMMEDIATELY and OFFERED a high chair for their 3 year old…. But you can’t read minds?? I’ve never in a restaurant where I had to ask first for one. You may be busy and that’s understandable but there’s no cause for discrimination or lack of friendliness. Take the criticism and work on professionalism so ALL RACES will not only know we are welcomed BUT actually feel it. Like I said above the only person in there that actually deserved a tip and was actually friendly was the young teenage boy that held the door and greeted us. Instead of getting defensive the least you could have done was emphasize for 1 and apologize for 2. Even the busiest restaurants still will make a way to check on their guests even if it’s only twice during the meal. Being busy isn’t the issue and it seems you’re trying to avoid the real issue and that won’t make business or reviews better. Now have a very blessed day
I’m a little confused as to the great service everyone else says they received….WE didn’t receive the great service that others are posting about. We were not checked on while waiting almost 30 mins for a simple egg, bacon, toast, home fries plate. No one offered us a high chair for our baby but as soon as another guest that had a 3 year old came in they were greeted very fast and also offered a high chair. Not once did we get asked if we wanted a refill. Observed a teen girl not wanting to take our order but asking someone else to take it. We did leave a tip not for the service but because of the discrimination to show yes we tip and yes even with poor service we know the teens need their summer money. The only person that was welcoming and honestly deserved the tip was the young kid(12-14) working that held the door for us as we came in and greeted us and told us goodbye when we left. I hope he stays kind in a hateful world. We felt uneasy the entire time. We waited so long for our food that we asked for it to go. As soon as we asked for it to go it magically was ready but it was cold. We know when our kind isn’t welcome and we won’t be returning. I’m mixed and I hate that my family had to experience that. That was my baby’s 1st encounter in a negative environment and I’m sure in a hateful world it won’t...
Read moreDespite the busy area, this restaurant is tucked away enough to keep it from being overcrowded by most casual visitors. Don't let the lack of need for a waiting list fool you. This gem amongst the pebbles is a serious bargain for the area with great food and hometown-friendly service.
I visited this restaurant the past two mornings. So far, both the food and service has been excellent, fast, and consistent. My menu choice each time was the so-called "2-2-2" special - two eggs, two sausage patties or bacon strips, and two pancakes or slices of french toast. I tried the bacon and pancakes first, then the sausage and french toast next. I also added a bowl of grits each time to top-off the pallet a little better.
If you want to try this restaurant, but are trying to make sense of the location, it is located inside a campground at the coastal-end. The campground is called the Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Enter thru the main gate, stop at the gate, and let the guard know you are visiting the restaurant. At the traffic circle, take the first exit, then stay on the same road all of the way to...
Read moreWe visited twice while staying at the campground because it is convenient. First morning was not that impressed and thought the price for the food we got was pricey. Went back a second time and they obviously do not follow a sanitary cook ethic. We sat by the kitchen and watched as the cook touched every piece of our food with bare hands that had touched his ear plugs and other things on the counter. Dipped my French toast in the egg batter with his hands and instead of using a utensil to flip it on the grill he used his hands. Also found a small hair on my plate so we just left the French toast. The sausage gravy taste just like flour not much of a sausage flavor. Service both times was so so . We love the campground but won’t be back for the food at...
