For the money that I spent on this hotel for a week ice and a had a room that was an immaculate condition. But instead I was greeted with big red stains on the floor white stains on the couch sliding doors that didn't lock either one in the bedroom suite or in the living room black mold that is actually visible you'll see my pictures that I post a bedroom door that needs to be fixed so it can close properly a bathroom sink that didn't have a drain stop so you can lose an earring down it or anything like that that's just from walking in the room and the conditions are there. During our stay breakfast was great you'll probably be dead in a lot of post they had a fresh omelette bar will amateur made to order and if you choose you can even have them make your eggs over easy Sunny Side Up over medium over hard however you want it. The only bad thing with breakfast is that if you don't get down there early enough you are going to miss out on somewhere to sit then you have to wait a while for someone to leave. And at night the bar always had happy hour from 5 to 730 daily. The pools they had on site were really really nice except for they do not clean them the way they should for two days straight I actually found parts of some girls weave inside the pool I told safety about it I told management about it and they said it would get cleaned out but I went the next day so I cleaned out their cups that float in the bottom of the pool I stepped on one cut my foot luckily I didn't bleed cuz I pulled a mess. My daughter and I who is nine we love going in the splash area she loved seeing me get drowned by the big old dump bucket. There is a downside to the pool and that is trying to get chairs if you're not lined up at 8:45 for right after breakfast or miss breakfast to go and save your seats. And if not in use for an hour the staff will remove your belongings from them and give them away. I will have to say the staff is very nice and friendly and are attentive to your wants. The outdoor bartenders are a blessing. I also ordered the best damn pizza I have ever had from the bar/restaurant in the pool area. I highly recommend getting the Roni pizza from there. Here, comes more troubling news. We stayed there for 5 nights and 6 days and on our 1st night all guests were evacuated from there rooms around 11pm for a Fire Alarm that was going off, we were on the 14th floor out of 20 floors and I had wake my 9 year old daughter up who was exhausted from the long drive and some swimming earlier in the day, to take a walk down 14 flights of stairs to find out that it was a faulty sensor over Starbucks and we had the all clear after waiting 20 minutes. Then, again this happened the next day but this time earlier around 5:30. On the 4th day the Fire Department was called out twice. Once in the early evening which we missed because we were out the Hangout restaurant and Barefoot at the beach. Which both were amazing places to go. The second one that happened this day was at 2 am, they tried to get people to evacuate but I took my chances because I wasn't going to wake my daughter up again but this really late to walk down all those stairs for nothing. And,as if I knew what was going to happen they gave the all clear again. I don't know what the real issue is but there a fire sensors that are hanging out of the ceilings just dangling on some of the floors. Hilton as a whole needs to come inspect this hotel in person and start from the top and remove the people in charge. There was a nice lady even trying to get my wife and I to take a tour of the new Hilton timeshare resort that is close to opening we actually were considering it but after all this we gave a...
Read moreAmazing resort and property giving us an awesome 6 night stay!! The pools, breakfast, suites, and property really made our stay a blast as a family and couple! Whatever air conditioning issue they had in the lobby earlier this summer have been fixed so disregard the early summer reviews of that. There’s a few large industrial portable air conditioners and some massive high tech fans that keep the lobby cool. The daily breakfast buffet with egg and omelet station is amazing and large. Never an issue with food running out or the property getting dirty. Considering it was Labor Day weekend, I was impressed! Trash cans emptied and tables cleared consistently.
Pools - amazing!! This was one of my reasons for booking this resort thru Hilton honestly. The large kids pool with slides and sprinklers was going to be a huge hit with our toddler. Every day be was excited to go there and he got mom and dad on all 3 slides with him! There’s not a lot of chairs with umbrella shade - can you add more umbrellas? Other than that, this rules! The main slides and then huge pool deck for adults and kids alike are also great. Yes, people line up for the 9am opening to snag a pool chair but that’s resorts for ya. The poolside drinks and food from the Currents as well as Black Drum (bbq and pizzas) are good! Just a tip - all food and drink orders outside already add a 20% tip to your receipt. So unless you’re feeling extra generous, no need to add to the tip line. And with the resort prices, you’re probably not going to want to add more anyway. Try the Italian ice stand - cash only! Delicious.
The beach - great and CLOSE!!! We’ve stayed at another Hilton property on the south side of Myrtle and the walk seems soooooo far from the hotel to the beach but this one is RIGHT there out the back door. Plenty of pool towels to grab too. This was a highlight for the fam - enjoying day and night!
We had a 20th floor ocean view suite. Deck out the bedroom and living room with ocean views. Epic!
Food - we don’t drink alcohol so no comments there but the virgin pina coladas were on point and the mojitos from black drum were 👌. Pizzas at black drum were phenomenal. Food at the coastal grill outside of sandwiches/pizzas is meh. Breakfast is quite good for a free hotel buffet. Even iced coffee available! Nice for the heat. There’s also a cafe serving Starbucks drinks, pastries, and cold food in the lobby. Nice to be able to grab a Frappuccino after the heat or some extra caffeine throughout the day and all can be charged to the room.
Room - seemed like they’ve been renovated in the last 2-3 years. Really nice suite with all we needed. Cons of being on the top floor is you will stop all the way down on the elevator as more guests request it but we figured it a small price to pay for the views.
Spa - enjoyed a nice massage and the wife a spa treatment. Nice facilities albeit pretty high resort pricing! Free shuttle on demand from the front door or a 5-10 min walk. 20% tips are auto added to the receipt here as well.
They also have an indoor pool and splash pad that you’d need to walk or shuttle to (by spa) and gym there. We didn’t use the facilities but they looked nice. There’s pickleball courts as well which seemed popular.
Come during the weekdays and avoid holidays for better shots at shaded pool chairs but other than that, this is a really nice resort! Great Hilton property no doubt - don’t mind...
Read moreI asked my assistant to make a reservation for Kingston Embassy Suite till Thursday, Sept 11,2025. She only made the reservation till Wednesday, Sept. 10th. easy mistake. This leads to a complete mess, and it should have been treated as a simple issue. I missed the call from the front desk because I was on the beach and on my way back my mom called me to tell me we were supposed to be checked out. So, I told my mom I was on my way to the front desk to straighten out the issue. UNKNOWING THAT 3 EMPLOYEES AND MANAGER WERE HARASSING MY MOM IN HER ROOM!! My mom informed me the Manger knocked on her door and when she opened it the Mangers statement was "YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF MY ROOM NOW!" Now my mom is 90 years old and this was her birthday gift from me to ensure she had the best relaxing time. I have NEVER been treated so badly by any of the Hilton properties, and they are the only ones I stay at. After my call my mom told me the Mangers parting words were, "SHE BETTER BE AT THE FRONT DESK!" Who acts like that at an establishment I regard as First Class. Now this was after the maintenance man who I requested batteries for my remote was rude. His smart remark was, "The other remote works on both TVs". I know that but we do not watch the same shows, and I am not going to carry the remote back and forth from TV to TV. Also, what about the next guest they would have had a remote that did not work. Was that really so hard to replace the batteries? I am at the front desk and apologized for the error and paid for an additional night. NOW SHE CHARGED ME $354.78. Since I am trying not to make a scene BECAUSE SHE AND HER TEAM UPSET MY MOM. I paid the bill. Now this is double what I booked for, and I was informed that Handicap parking was free and I have 2 service dogs which are N/C. I was REALLY MAD but kept professional at all times, no apology from your manger threating my mom to throw her out! This made my mom and me feel like we were trying to steal something!!! I feel I was overcharged for the extra night, and I will NEVER STAY AT THIS EMBASSY SUITE AGAIN. It turn out at the beginning to be a fantastic experience to a NIGHTMARE FOR MY MOM!!!!!! I will hold off on my review to see how this complaint pans out. ||||I spoke to Drew, and it was the standard reply his staff informed him they did not say or do these things. His night Manger informed Drew my mom slammed the door on her BUT the manager was in the room so I do not know how that could happen! Drews response was you would be surprised how many people try to get free nights!! So you disrespect your guest BEFORE you inquire about the issue? I regarded the Embassy Suites as the prime real estate to stay at. My vacation in Portsmouth, Maine at Embassy Suites was AMAZING. Sad to say, but I would not recommend this Embassy Suites to anyone unless they want to feel guilty before they are...
