Sugrue's Pub & Eatery — Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach

This place was an absolute gem. We spent all week here and found nothing of interest. We tried the Tripadvisor stuff like Lulu's, which was absolutely awful (avoid at all costs)! We went to previous favorites, which we still love so I will not name, but they were nowhere near what they used to be pre-covid. Not tasty, small portions, over priced...

In any Case, we went to Sugrue's with our twin 6-year-olds. While it might not be a "family family"restaurant, they were treated like gold! Our waitress Morgan was simply stellar. It was the best service we had received not only in Myrtle Beach, but in some time. She was on top of everything and fast! She asked my twins their name and made them so happy. She was so great to us as well. Our orders were taken right away and her honesty went miles! She informed us of the happy hour specials and even showed me the location on the menu. She even made sure to let me know that the time was getting close to it's end. I appreciated that so much. Thank you guys! Not to mention, the food was simply stellar! We ordered a whole round of food and even though the portions were generous, the food was just too good to resist. We had to order more! On top of that the live band was so kind. I got up and danced with white daughter and son and they even asked their names and said them over the microphone. What a great way to end our vacation! The best lunch/early dinner specials I've seen, only $7.95! Note, this is not sitting on the waterfront with fresh caught seafood, but it's really tasty and not greasy. It's definitely worth checking out. Their happy hour menu and drink specials really hit the spot and not the wallet. There's plenty of pool tables and new friends to welcome you. There's live music on a very regular basis, and the schedules are posted well in advance. One thing that really stood out to me.... The Soundsystem! There's nothing worse than spending a few hours shouting over unturned music when hanging with friends. NOT a Problem Here. The music playing was on point for the crowd. What a great hidden spot! The server Brooke was so helpful and friendly. Gave great suggestions, attentive and knows what she is doing! All of their food is made fresh! Their egg rolls were fantastic! We tried the jambalaya, Philly cheese steak and meatball egg rolls. We each had a different favorite but they were all fantastic. Their burgers were amazing. I had the royal because I love eggs on burgers. The Hamburger buns were the freshest I have ever had at a restaurant. Their burgers come with fresh made pita chips. They were awesome. A member of our party had the Reuben and onion rings and said both were great! Made the correct way. They had live music. It was at a good sound level. You can eat and still hear and talk. I would highly recommend trying this place out. We will definitely give this place another try!...
