Worst place ever! Order incomplete, got one chicken platter ordered two. My stepson has dinner , my husband waited another hr . Altogether my husband waited two hrs . The “platter” was only chicken and fries . Platters are salad, pita, tzatziki, fries, chicken. They don’t know what they’re doing. Lemon potatoes was the worst I ever had along with the lentil soup. Soup was sour and jelly like texture with a bit of dishwasher liquid as side taste. Lemon potatoes had so much seasoning it was bitter also sour. Salad had no dressing. If you want good Greek food , DO NOT order or come to this So here is an update. UPDATE!!! After I received our food that was really bad, customer service never ordered my missing items. She specifically asked if I want the food or the refund , and I told her specifically that I want the missing food. One hr later I called customer service back and asked where is my item. I was told the driver doesn’t have it and they have to give my money back. But if I don’t call they never give my money back they just don’t give a &$!. I will never ever order with grubhub or seamless or whatever else is out there. Strictly from places that they do their own delivery. My husband was wating the total of 2 hrs for food and I ended up giving him a sandwich. We felt like having Greek food, but it was really bad. The items I received was lentil soup taste sour with a bit of dishwashing liquid very jelly like texture, lemon potatoes way too sour and bitter from too much seasoning I guess oregano or something. We never received tzatziki with the pita, they call chicken and fries a “platter “ . They have no idea that platters is chicken, salad, fried, pita and tzatziki. This was Greek Grille & Gallery. Terrible place, Grubhub is terrible customer service!!! If you are in Venice FL area DO NOT GO OR...
Read moreWe went back to the Greek Grill on 14828 Tamiami Trail, North Port. This is the first time we 've tried it under new ownership. Right away you can see the new owners have changed the layout and décor of the inside, making it brighter and more airy/spacious. It is a welcome change! Also the bathrooms have been re-done and are brighter and well-kept. The place is clean and the kitchen area, as before, is right out in the open where you can see everyone working. We were greeted as we came in and were promptly seated and given menus. The server went to some other people (It was not crowded...we got there for an early lunch). She seemed to forget about us and left us there for a few minutes without coming to see if we wanted drinks first. When she finally came we ordered our drinks and she took our order. The menu is extensive, and they do have a special menu for lunches, which is very nice. My wife ordered the Gyro Deluxe Plate and I ordered the Crispy Gyro Eggrolls & Salad and a Bowl of Borscht. I was intrigued because you don't usually see borscht at a Greek place, but the new owners are Ukrainian, so that makes perfect sense! The meal was delicious! The borscht was delightful. I would order that again in a heartbeat. My wife really enjoyed the Gyro. The meat was tender and she could easily chew it. My Crispy Gyro Eggrolls were very unique and delicious as well. In the end I decided to order one piece of Baklava with Walnut. My wife and I split that and were very satisfied! We will be back again, for sure. If you have not tried it recently under the new owners, I would urge you to go. The food is excellent and the serving staff is friendly! You won't be...
Read morewent to Greek Grille for a bite to eat , the place was empty when i got there , the server had no clue about anything on the menu couldn't answer any question that my quest had . but had said that he would look into it , he never did the tables and chairs were small and uncomfortable . you could feel the heat from the kitchen because there was no air-conditioning who seemed to be the owner of the place came to the table and in attempt to be funny told me and my and my guest" that if the server does not treat us right to kick him in the ass" .How demeaning to his employee and disrespectful to us . he said this in passing to a game that he was going to get for him and a customer to play so during the meal we had to hear dice being played . as for the food i had a American/Greek salad , $7 bucks , i think they charged me for every slice of tomato which was the best part of the salad, . and a gyro that came out at the same time . it was not totally horrible the meat was tender and there was enough to fill the smallest round bread , (i mean the size you would make a tuna-fish sandwich out of 5 inch maybe ), the sauce did taste good , would have been better if it was thick enough to stay in the sandwich so that you got a taste with every bite not drip down to the paper wrap so that you have to unwrap and pour the sauce back onto the gyro . ..stuffed olive leafs , these were dry and pretty much tasteless except for the oil that they drizzled on it , so not worth the money as it was 4 for $10 bucks . oh and don't ask for bread they charge for that as well . i will not be going back...
