Andy's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in North Richland Hills

I want to start this review off by saying we literally went 40 minutes out of our way to try the Andy's “Words cannot describe apple pie concrete” Frozen Custard. When we got to the ordering window the lady taking our order had no idea what I was talking about and looked around in confusion then stating that they did not have that. Well it is clearly Advertised on their website or at least was at the time of writing this review. There's nothing I hate more than seeing something advertised going out of my way to get it and then denied. After we were denied our apple pie concrete we ordered a build your own banana pineapple concrete and where delivered a pineapple mint concrete at which point I was becoming quite distraught. As I had previously mentioned I had gone 40 minutes out of my way that's 80 minutes round-trip for this nonsense. With that complaint out of the way I would like to say they did correct the flavor and in the end it was delicious and that is the only reason I am giving them three stars at this point in time.

If the apple pie concrete is available at Andy's make your employees aware of that. And if it's not take it off the website So Foodies like me don't waste their time and gas

We love Andy's! We came after the Independence Day Fireworks and drone show in Fort Worth (actually on Monday night), and this was the first time we had all the kids with us. For some reason or other, there always seems to be at least 1 missing every time we've been before. In any case, here is the important stuff:

We arrived with 3 cars already in the drive thru and about 10 other people in various groups already at the window. We parked and walked up cuz we didnt want to have too much sticky mess in the car. It took a total of 13 minutes for us to choose what we wanted (some people changed their minds like 4 times, because, kids...), order, and get our cold treats. As always, our order was made exactly as it was ordered and tasted as perfect as it could have on a 100 degree evening. The youngest child decided he wanted something other than what he ordered and was mad he didn't get it, yet he still ate it all. Fast, friendly, and delicious, as always. And though we don't usually come to this location, as it is much farther from the house or my office, it has a restroom open to the public, unlike the other 3 or 4 locations we've frequented. Being that I always come here and sometimes my order isn’t correct, I still come back giving this place the benefit of doubt but it seems it just gets more terrible. Today I received my regular sized cup with strawberry, cheesecake, almonds. When getting my cup I notice the “frozen custard” looked like it was already melting so I tried to ask the gentle men that was at the window to redo my order but he never came back nor bothered to help us waiting at the window so I ended up just going with what I had. Not even 3mins in and my “frozen custard” was already down to liquid. Very disappointing!! They also didn’t get my bf order correct. They gave us all chocolate after asking for Choc. AND vanilla. And again after trying to speak to the gentlemen, no help was there at all. Definitely need to better up the staffs because all these little kids running the business ain’t doing so well. This is happening way too many times....
