Taco Bueno — Restaurant in North Richland Hills

UPDATE- Taco Bueno's Guest Services has begun looking into the Automatic Upsizing Issue for a resolution so hopefully this location will stop using the deceptive methods soon. I will continue to provide updates.

ORIGINAL- I don't like businesses that use deceptive practices such as the management and employees at this Taco Bueno. I order through the Drive Thru off the menu that states a price for a Combo with a small drink $9.69 which is $10.49 with tax, but they automatically upside you to a medium drink and tell you the total is $11.24. I don't want to upside and pay 75 cents more for a drink larger that what I want to drink. They got me the first time on this without me realizing it thinking I misread the price. I'm sure they get a lot of other customers especially if you place a large order of multiple items. Each time they deceptively make an extra .75 cents. When I questioned it the next time, the manager tried to tell me it was tax and I said there is no way tax on $9.69 comes to $11.24. After that, I started ordering and specifying a small drink and they still routinely upside me. So I have given this place several chances to get it right so this is not a knee jerk reaction to one messed up drive thru order. On several occasions this restaurant closes it's doors with no explanation. This is frustrating on many levels but the primary one is when they get the order wrong in the drive thru ( which this is a common occurrence) you have to go back around and wait in line AGAIN because you cannot go in the lobby. On another visit when they did have their lobby open during the day I ordered my meal and it never came...I tried to get someone's attention after twenty minutes and they all pretended like they didn't speak English. I literally paid, got nothing, then had to leave because I was late to an engagement. Lastly, if you do get your food expect it to be hastily thrown together often with ingredients missing. Regular bean burritos that have almost no beans in them, side orders or drinks that are only half filled up. First time dining in at this location and have a few complaints. No one was available at the register, an employee's friend or family member got one of the employees attention who was not in customer view. There was a big spill in front of the beverage machine (wet floor sign was displayed) and throughout the 30 minutes I stayed it was not moped. After completing my order the employee rushed away quickly without handing me my receipt or telling me my order number. I ordered one item (chicken quesadilla) and it took about 10 minutes to make even though no other order was being made. Another customer arrived about five minutes after me and received his order first. They took his food to him and I had to go to the front to pick up mine. When I did receive my food I was walking to the restroom to wash my hands when the manager told me he apologizes but the order they made for me was incorrect (they made a regular cheese quesadilla.
