I was here a couple of days ago after I had purchased $700 worth of Halloween decorations, once I noticed they went on sale online I went back to customer service do price adjustments because I called customer service and they said since items were bought in store the adjustments had to be done in store to let them know I had spoke to them , I was greeted nicely by Haydia and she was so kind to start the process she then had questions and called management over, Dariana came over and voided everything had an attitude and said nothing could be done because her price was not was was being shown online for Home Depot, that I had to bring my item return them and order them online . I explained my items were already set up in my yard , she made a face like she could care less! Keep in mind the Home Depot policy does state we are able to do price adjustments 30 days after our purchase.

Even while helping me, he was greeting other customers coming into the store and quickly ran inside to alert the staff when an elderly man fell outside. Truly impressive service and care — Chandler is a great example of what customer service should be!

My dad does not own a business and he told his to the cashier, but she said it’s fine and signed him up anyways despite him saying no numerous times. This is extremely unethical and predatory. Product: great. Staff: not so much. Came to buy a Christmas tree. I was able to find a nice one for a fair price, considering it was a floor model. Now, purchasing the actual tree is where the issues began. The gentleman in the garden center area was busy but nice enough to stop and help me dismantle the tree but unfortunately just kind of left me there to yet again, find somebody else to confirm the price for me, pay me out, etc. It’s not my fault that the store didn’t put a price tag on the tree. He knew when he dismantled it for me that it didn’t have a price tag so it’s not like I was gonna be able to just go to the register and say “hey ring me this tree up for $150.” They would have looked at me like I was nuts. To clarify, I had came in about 20 minutes earlier, left and came back inside the store to purchase the tree. When I came in the first time, a really nice purple-haired girl helped me and tried to call over the manager but he/she was apparently too busy to come over and talk with me. that’s fine but not very good customer service. back to trying to pay for the tree. So I’m standing there with a flatbed and a huge 9 foot tree. I’m confused on where to go, so I go to customer service and the girl has the worst time getting ahold of a manager to confirm the price or even help at all. We finally get it situated and she pays me out. The guy that helped me dismantle the tree mentioned that the garden center would be happy to give me a piece of plastic tarp something to lay down on my backseat. Went over there afterwards to get said tarp and the guy has no idea what I was talking about. I suggested if he had any of those plastic coverings that they were using to cover the outdoor grills. He just said, “I don’t know nothing about that.” I circle back to customer service and the same girl answered me SUPER RUDELY. “I don’t know but if we do, they’re on aisle (whatever aisle)” Finally, on my way out, I run into Diego in self checkout who was more than happy to take off one of those covers for the grills and give it to me so I don’t get an insane amount of fake snow and glitter all over my vehicle. He was so kind and apologized for the rest of the staff being unhelpful and rude. Thank you Diego, Purple haired girl and the guy who helped me dismantle the tree. 👍🏽Managers and customer service lady 👎🏽

And to top it off, nobody even offered to help me load my 9 foot Christmas tree. That’s just one of those things you offer as good customer service. I guess your business is only worthwhile if you pay full price. I was really nice to everyone in there and was treated like a bother and felt pushed to the side. It was not a...

I gave a 1 star rating because of MANAGEMENT, and I would really appreciate it ... if you treated me with a lil more courtesy, like I feel every one deserves)!

Since I gave this review... I have spoken with many employees, and managers, both when getting materials... and just visiting the store to get a better feel for the real state of how the stores staff are (and I think more than 80-85% honestly have a great attitude-someone here has a great eye for hiring youngsters with really positive mindsets I haven't seen a lot of in the past few years-)

It has some really good people working there (like Louise ... a very knowledgeable, courteous, and likeable customer service all-star, Eric, in cust srvc with a great attitude, a good wit, and good communication skills), Kaylee, a young lady with an absolutely awesome attitude every time I've seen her there, Faith, who also is very polite with a great attitude on multiple visits that I spoke with her, Erika, Praful, Marlow, Bradley all with great attitudes, a distinguished older gentleman who found me looking for a 5, or 10lb box of brown deck screws (I apologize for not remembering his name) with impressive knowledge of the merchandise H D sells, a great attitude, who will trade banter with you and make you laugh, Hunter a 19 yr old young man with impressive manners, a genuine desire to help, and an awesome attitude ... and others.

There was a lot addressed in this rating, and this morning I went to talk with a manager (Brent), and he was honestly surprised, and a little bit disturbed with some of the issues I brought to his attention. I feel like he is an honest man, and told me he would address these issues, and I believe that he will. ... .... obviously, some things take more time than others, but I did see a difference in 1 employee almost immediately after I spoke with Brent. To be fair, I am going to come back to this store in a couple of months, and let y'all know what I see. Thank you Brent, for taking the time to listen to my complaint, taking immediate action where he could, and his willingness to start some changes that have great potential for some honest changes to occur.

Update: Yesterday Brent helped me with getting the few materials I needed to finish my project, ... not only has he made changes I can see making changes, but his sincerity, helpful attitude, and honesty are amazing!

Brent sir, ... thank you! You almost moved made me cry yesterday ... no manager, or business has ever tried so hard, taken so much time out of their hectic schedule, or helped me so much in my life!

You are a breath of fresh air, and I'm extremely glad you are...

I own a Roofing Company and buy exclusively from Home Depot and will continue. I purchased a total reroof package, worth well over $3500.00. At time I have no choice but to buy packages that may be limited in stock like ZRidge that are slightly open. At home HD some shingle stock is keep outside and are exposed to rain. This is common and not problem as the single packages are wrapped in plastic.

Sunday morning it rain, on my open trailer, i had a box of ice and water, 4 bundles of shingles and 1 bundle of ZRidge. They were all wet from the rain. The Zridge package was ripped, this is how I purchased it. Tiffany was the return service rep. She greeted with a smile. She looked at my returns and said she could not return the products because they were wet and the 1 package of the Zridge package was ripped. She said they were all not resellable. I mention I bought 7 package of zridge and most of the packages were ripped and thats how i purchased them. I advise that we could walk over to the roofing materials and see packages for sell that were open and i also told her that shingles are stored outside and open to the weather elements. She held her ground and said she could not return the merchandise. I mention I own a Roofing Company and spent over $1 million last year and .over $290k this year. She said it did not matter if I spent a $1 million or S5k she would treat the transition the same. I mention I do return all left over all the time and never have a problem. She insisted she could not. I told her I understood she was doing her job and to please call here manager. She did, the manager arrived and knew me from all the purchased. He was nice, helpful and authorize the return. As most contractors, we are always busy, either the customer waiting or your labor force is waiting for materials. While it was Sunday, I wanted to return the materials and purchase other items as I had a crew waiting for directions to start a job.

The whole process took 30 mins, it would just be nice that all return reps are made aware of procedures when returning roofing materials.

As I said, I will still continue to purchase...
