After reading good reviews from a local Bucks County social media group, we decided to give Asian Palace a try. We were not disappointed!
The first thing you notice is how friendly the entire restaurant staff is. You are promptly greeted at the entrance and led into the restaurant where other employees are also quick to say hello.
The next thing you notice is the amazingly clean and sophisticated interior design. It is apparent this restaurant was recently updated, as the floors and lower half of the walls are beautifully done in a neutral color faux-wood vinyl planking. This texture and color well compliments the soft, reddish upper wall portion which is adorned with Asian motifs. The bright white lighting really brings out the beauty and cleanliness of the restaurant, and it kind of whets your appetite for what's to come.
We ordered wonton soup, a spring roll, an eggroll, a Wor Ba entree, and the XO shrimp & rice.
The wonton broth was flavorful yet not too salty. The wontons were a little chewy, but I would certainly order this soup again.
The eggroll was crispy with a nice assortment of finely cut veggies. The spring roll, also crispy, had larger-cut veggies, but was very flavorful.
The XO shrimp entree was very good. It was spicy and very clean tasting without it being drenched in any heavy sauces. The shrimp were thoroughly deveined and tails removed.
The Sizzling Seafood Wor Ba was also very good. It had shrimp, sea scallops, and a small lobster tail. It was very flavorful - right down to the baby corn and asparagus spears that were found nestled below the seafood.
Also included during the meal were a pot of brewed delicious, traditional Chinese restaurant tea (nice and strong!) and a bowl of crispy noodles with hot mustard and a very flavorful duck sauce.
We felt the prices were very fair, given the portions and quality of food. In summary, we very much enjoyed the meal and will be back to try more dishes in the...
Read moreOn the basis of our first take-out from Asian Palace, and compared to the Hong Kong Gourmet restaurant it has replaced, we were not impressed. First of all, the prices are higher than its predecessor. Second, our take out package did not include the basic packets of soy sauce, duck sauce and hot mustard that, if not staples at every other Chinese restaurant in the universe, certainly were a welcome addition at Hong Kong Gourmet. Finally, though the Asian Palaceâs Sesame Chicken is marked as Spicy on their menu, and though we had requested the dish as non-Spicy, and though the hostess confirmed our order as non-Spicy at take out, it was still spicy and too spicy for my wife to enjoy. Either the chef confused the order and gave us the Spicy version, or the dish itself is so spicy that even the ânon-Spicyâ version is still too spicy for diners who donât like spice.
UPDATE: Believing that this restaurant deserved a second chance, we returned there recently to dine in. The Sesame Chicken which was too spicy at take-out was evidently simply a mistake the kitchen had made, because the dish we were served in the restaurant was delicious. The table had all the right condiments, the service was fine and the atmosphere pleasant. I am happy to raise my initial two star...

If you grew up eating American-style Chinese food on Sunday nights with your family, then walking into Asian Palace is like stepping into a warm, soy-scented memory. The menu reads like a comfort food mixtapeâbarbecued spareribs that cling to your fingers and your heart, egg rolls that are crunchy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside (the way nature intended), and General Tsoâs Chicken that brings the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and crispy bravado.
The Moo Shu Pork is a saucy, scallion-studded hug, and the soupsâoh, the soups. Egg Drop, Sweet Corn, and my personal favorite: Hot and Sour, with three wontons tossed in .
Now for the twist: Asian Palace also has a full-service sushi bar. That means you can get a Spider Roll with your Moo Goo Gai Pan, and somehow that combo works better than it has any right to.
But what truly sets this place apart is the family who runs it. The service is flawlessâeven at the busiest times. Friendly, fast, and genuinely warm, they make you feel like part of the family.
Asian Palace isnât just a restaurantâitâs a reminder that classic dishes, cooked with care and served with heart, still rule the kingdom.
