First time there, if on first appearance you think, this is not Italian, you would be mistaken. It is actually pretty typical of a trattoria in southern Italy. I had, what they called, an appetizer board. In Italian, it would be a salami. It was perfect a few meats, a couple of cheeses some long hots, some sweet peppers olives and a few crostini. They also brought out a plate of small breads slightly garlic flavored and a bowl of salsa. The four of us shared that along with the bottle of wine that we brought. A nice red primotivo from Puglia. The waitress timed us perfectly. She appeared with our entrees. I had linguine fra Diablo with muscles clams, shrimp, and scallops all well proportioned and nice quality. My wife had fettuccine with tilapia in other person had a very good sized brisket sandwich (which he said was perfect) and the last in our party had muscles fra Diablo. We ended the meal with coffee and desserts we shared a real cannoli freshly filled with a good passata and a tiramisu. We were all satisfied and filled perhaps too much. Would I go again? Absolutely! It would be nice just to go pretty appetizer board and a nice bottle of wine. I also took note of pizzas that were being served to several tables they had a few different type and they all looked good, although I'd have to try them to let you know how I feel about them.
Finally got back to Bacco in Richboro... Aug. 20 2023 Expected to be pleased with our choices and was... What really got our attention was the server a young fellow, Roman extremely helpful attentive and personable. He made our time there so much more enjoyable, than just having dinner. Thank you Roman Joe, Joy,...
Read moreUpdate (January 2020): Visited for dinner today, it was busy so service wasn't the quickest. The noise level made it very hard to talk, and the seats are very close to one another so it isn't a great place for private conversations. The seats were very uncomfortable metal. My party ordered the Sugarosa entree since we liked it from their main location, we also had the shrimp appetizer, and caesar salad. While the Sugarosa was good, the other items were lacking. The shrimp came out overcooked and hard to cut through, though they did remove this from our bill after we brought it to their attention. The caesar came out without any dressing on it and we found it hard to track down our waitress to ask for it.
Original review (November 2019): We've been to their other locations and really liked the food, especially the Drunken Brooklyn pizza and the Sugarosa entree, but we tried the white pizza (with just cheese and garlic not the other ingredients it normally comes with) and it was very disappointing, and very expensive despite not many ingredients. While it was probably crispy when it first came out, by time we got it back to the house around the corner it was cold, so we had to reheat it which made it kind of chewy. There was barely any cheese on it and it really didn't taste much like garlic. Will not be ordering pizza from here again, but will probably give them a shot for the entrees, hopefully they will be as good as their...
Read moreGreat place to eat. Went with hubs & child, our server was very accommodating & sweet with our 5 year old. Our child is a tough critic with chicken fingers & she loved theirs & their (unseasoned) fries, I'm not sure what they originally had on them but my guess was old bay but was too spicy for her. We all loved the bread. Hubs & I shared the Sweet & Spicy Wings, they were really good, just the right amount of kick. Cesar salad was nice. We also ordered the Drunken Brooklyn pizza on a whim & it was pretty tasty, the pizza crust was nice & crispy. It was a nice change but I definitely would like to try a more traditional pizza next time as that's generally what we prefer anyway. Hubs also had the pumpkin cheesecake & loved it, a little sweet for me but I can't handle super sweet stuff anyway. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and definitely plan...
