Just got my food less than half an hour ago, and I feel the moral obligation to write a review before I forget. There's simply so many things wrong...
The "baguette" I received was actually a chunk of baguette that has been torn off from the whole baguette. Pizza crust wasn't properly cut even though some attempt was made, so I had to cut it myself, which I realized was actually sort of difficult because of problem 3. Pizza crust was incredibly chewy for all three pizzas I ordered. Containers holding salad dressing were inside the salad container, mingling with the salad. I'm not sure where these containers have been or who's been touching them, but it's safe to say some grime has probably accumulated on them over the course of however long they've been sitting. Although the greek salad looks alright, the caesar salad looks like someone simply threw a handful of iceberg lettuce, some croutons, and those dirty dressing containers in there and labeled it a salad. EXPENSIVE! Ended up being about 50 dollars for 3 small pizzas, 2 salads (one of those is definitely just lettuce and croutons), a sandwich about the size of a 6-inch sandwich from Subway, and best of all, a piece of baguette. I'd be happy to pay this amount for high-quality food, but even beyond the numerous problems I've listed, the food would only be upgraded from bad to mediocre.
I don't remember the last time I've been to Panera until just now, so not sure if this is a problem just with this location, or with the company itself, but this experience has been bad enough that I'm not going to take any chances and won't be going to Panera for at least the next few years. The reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is because I save that for the worst experiences possible, such if a restaurant were to give me partially eaten food or something along the...
Read moreI spend quite a bit of time in Panera’s throughout northeast Ohio every week. This experience this morning was a little different than usual. Trying to be a gentleman I let the lady walking in behind me through the door and of course let her go ahead to order. That’s where we met Kelly, or I should say that where we did NOT meet Kelly. The lady and I stood there for 2-3 minutes in silence while Kelly completely ignored us as she assembled a large bagel order. There was nobody else around to help us out and she had her back to us the whole time. Even after she turned and it seemed she could see us no acknowledgement. The lady in front of me was too nice to do so but I spoke up and said (quite loudly in case she just did not hear us come in) “Excuse me, we would like to place an order” Kelly’s response was “yeah, I’m working on an order” That’s it..., not hello, welcome to panera, good morning, I’ll be right with you. Luckily she must have gotten the gist and then called a coworker over to assist the increasing line of 4-5 customers. I was very tempted to just walk out then but hoped the worst was behind us.
First impressions are VERY important, whether it’s the first time for a customer at all or just the first time you are seeing them that day. Being up front on the counter requires you to be cordial and friendly regardless (within reason) of how the customers might speak to you or treat you. I will likely be back, but I sincerely hope some coaching is done in PTT by the managers and owners. A simple change in the way we were responded to could have changed the entire outcome of my experience...
Read morePeace y’all. So I went on my 30 min. lunch break to get a 1/2 toasted chicken frontega & 1/2 caesar with chicken salad. Now this is something I order all the time. My order came to 14.78 decent price. So when I get back to work to eat & unbagged & unweapped my food I was highly disappointed. I asked for xtra dressing not in the bag, I asked for an apple got baguette bread. Then I bite my sandwich it seems off. They had no tomatoes & there was no basil on my sandwich it was just cheese, meat & the spread they use. Taste good but it was plain & more bread than meat & the fillings.h The employee who handed me my food was very pleasant and the restaurant was clean B.U.T (born universal truth) I didn’t come for that cause I just picked my order up. What I would’ve like no loved was for my food to be made properly. So I’m sad & feel I should’ve made me a salad for all this. Shame on me & you Panera. Today I give them a sound 5/10. Gotta pay closer attention when making...
