Iâm sad cause I used to go here often since I live nearby.
Usually decent service, they arenât always nice, but I donât expect that from fast food lol, itâs just come and go!
But today was a huge disappointment and I wonât be going back.
My partner and I went to get 2 frostys, I immediately noticed on the screen in the drive thru that we pulled up to had a cheeseburger on it, single combo, and I just assumed it was the previous customer and Iâve seen it happen before, after we ordered our two frostys we pulled up to the window and they charged us $14 for two, which we thought was a lot for a large frosty x2. So we asked for the receipt in which they gave us a bag with a burger combo on it, which ended up being what was shown on the drive thru screen when we pulled up to order. Idk how this happened since it never has happened to me, my guess is they didnât clear the previous order from their computer, etc.
The guy got an attitude with us and when we said we only ordered two frostys, saying âyouâre the one who took it and said âyeahââ
When we were just confusedâŚ.
So this lady who I assume is the manager comes and we explain the situation, stating when we pulled up to the screen a cheeseburger order was shown on the screen but we just ordered two frostys, she then asks âso you want a refund?â Well yeah, we didnât order a burger, we had just had dinner elsewhere and wanted frostys as dessert from Wendyâs. They both had bad attitudes, didnât say sorry and never said thank you or have a nice day. I work in retail and deal w rude customers and I always say sorry even if it wasnât my fault, we werenât disrespectful, nor were we wanting a refund for our frostys, just the burger, but they refunded it all. My concern is the customer service. We felt bad for a problem that wasnât even our fault in the first place. Will never come here again.
So if you pull up to the screen and you see an order on it that you assume was the previous customers, check your...
Read moreMy recent experience at Wendy's was a bit of a mixed bag, highlighting both exceptional customer service and a somewhat frustrating policy. I arrived at the restaurant after 10 pm, hoping to grab a late-night meal. I was walking, not in a car, and discovered their policy requires vehicles for service after that time. This was disappointing, as I was hungry and had no other options nearby. However, the cashier I encountered was incredibly helpful and understanding. Despite the policy, they went above and beyond and took my order anyway. I was incredibly grateful for their willingness to bend the rules and provide me with the food I needed. Their kindness and helpfulness truly saved the day and exemplified excellent customer service. The food itself was standard Wendy's fare â a satisfyingly consistent experience. My burger was cooked well, the fries were hot and crispy, and the Frosty was the perfect sweet treat. No complaints there. However, the policy regarding walk-in customers after 10 pm is a point of concern. While I understand the potential reasons behind it, it seems unnecessarily restrictive and excludes those who may not have access to a vehicle, especially late at night. It created an awkward situation for both myself and the cashier, who clearly wanted to help but was constrained by the rules. While I'm incredibly thankful to the cashier who went out of their way for me, the policy itself needs to be revisited. It creates an inconsistent experience and ultimately detracts from what could be an otherwise perfect late-night dining option. The management should consider the needs of walk-in customers, particularly during late hours, and empower their staff to provide the best possible service without being limited by overly...
Read moreGHASTLY !! I am not normally in the habit of writing negative reviews but something needs to be done here. I don't know if this is a company or franchise location but either way, somebody upstairs needs to kick some butt. Wife an I ordered a "double" and a grilled chicken sandwich. Well, we no sooner turned our heads and the food was on our tray which immediately made me suspicious. Both sandwiches were "room temperature" at best, which violates food regulations. Both looked like they had been in some sort of warming drawer for God knows how long. Lettuce and tomato were wilted and total mush. The chicken was like rubber. The burgers looked like dog food. Buns were all mashed down. Without question, this was the worst fast food that we have ever experienced in our lifetime. On top of it all, the place was filthy with trash and food all over the floors and around the garbage bins. Tables uncleaned. Windows filthy. We always liked Wendy's in the past but the one in Buffalo Grove closed about 1 1/2 years ago. This one should be closed also or condemed. I sincerely hope that this is not a trend in the Wendy's family. Also, I guess I have never liked fast food places where the customer can't see what is going on in the kitchen. Everything here is totally hidden. WENDY'S, YOU HAD BEST GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER !! In the meantime,...
