Carangi's Cafe & Deli — Restaurant in Northfield

The owner accused me of getting my scramble eggs with American cheese order wrong after I told waitress several times this was what I wanted. I asked for regular cream after waitress gave my coffee. When I had asked for creamer waitress just started at me as if I spokeanother language. The cook gives me scrambled eggs and no cheese as I asked. Not only did I get charged for 2 IJs when 1 was ordered, I was also charged for a create your own omelet?????? The owner also said how great her waitress was and how her worker had explained the food items on menu. If that was the case involving the so call create your own omelet I would have gotten a 2nd item broccoli since that price of $12 included 2 items and not just American cheese?? The waitress pointed on the right side of the menu for the scrambled egg and the American cheese I asked for? This waitress walked past my daughter and Staring at us and laughing. This waitress pours a 2nd cup of coffee and again no creamer given. When I told her owner she needs training that creamer should be offered when coffee is ordered. The girl slams a dish of creamer on the table in front of the owner but the owner with blonde hair felt this waitress don't need any training. When my daughter put the debit card into the payment device this owner forged a signature and hit payment button.We ask why this owner scribbled on signature line and pushed payment and she denied this action??? She then tells us to get out and never return to her cafe. ????? Never in my life have I had this poor customer service experience.. would never return to this cafe again....

4-4-2024- We just had lunch there. We both order the Double NY Special which is a pastrami and corn beef on rye with Cole slaw and Russian dressing. It was delicious and came with a side of Russell potatoes salad.

3-10-2024- We went there for lunch. The server Michaela was attentive, responsive, and professional. I'm glad we are there. I had the Adrian and love. It was delicious.My husband ordered the pastrami and ate it all. The pasta salad and coleslaw are great additions to any meal. Their chips are awesome too. I always get extra to go.Hey don't forget try a soup. They are always great in this weather. (See pics below)

3-3-2024-The atmosphere is great. We did not have to wait and the servers are very attentive. I ordered the cali turkey it was delicious but ate only half I took rest home. My husband loved the sausage sub and the New England corner chowder...

First time at Carangi’s and this place did not disappoint. Atmosphere was perfect. Food came out very fast & correct more importantly. The owner himself came out and gave me and my wife a house fried rice. I was confused at first. Wasn’t sure how a house could fry the rice. (Server found this funny too). The rice was delicious. Had pork roll bits in it. Not Taylor ham. But pork roll. My burger was spot on, couldn’t have been cooked any better to my liking. The endless supply of pickle spears I was given was staggering. My wife’s breakfast was incredible. BEC ON A BEGAL. Jersey classic. And the real winner of the entire meal was that açaí bowl. Go get you one and thank me later. Even loved the raisins in it too. skeptical at first but when I tell you we played rock paper scissors for the last bite. It was that good. Go give em a shot and support...
