Bought 10K rope chain in 12/2021 [not from here] for my guy. For the first time it In almost 4yrs it broke 10/2024. Stopped in @Sage MAYBE 12/2024 To see if they can fix where it broke off from. The first visit was actually very pleasant. They said they can take it right away. I paid $50 & less than a week later it was ready. Then this past December it's sadly broke again. My guy called them and asked them what they can do. He was told to bring it in & They'll be able to see if where they fixed it if it was the same spot. I was not able to get there until this past Monday. I explained the situation and before they even looked at it. They said it was not broken where they fixed it even though it was still in my hand. At this time, they kindly took it to take a look. But never showed me where they fixed it in the first place. But they were able to take it that day and didn't charge me again, which was very thoughtful.. I kept asking if was worth to fix because if it's going to keep breaking after just 4 years, Mine as well get a new one. They reassured me they can fix it, but it's hollow so we're probably will break again.. I was able to pick it up today & today was shown were it had been soldered this time. A different gentleman helped @first he was very kind. I was amazed by them fixing it and not charging me again, which I greatly appreciated!!! If you’re looking for a piece of jewelry for your loved one, you HAVE to go to Sage Jewelers in Northfield, NJ. I was interested in buying my boyfriend a gold chain for our anniversary and I had mild knowledge about which direction I should go in, regarding the best value for the price, but Bob (the man I dealt with) completely took my knowledge to the next level. He was informative, honest, and reliable. He took his time and broke down every single option for me regarding the karat of gold, the length of the chain, the width, and the style. He was able to give me many, many options and even offered to deliver them to the store next-day, so I could view them ASAP. Aside from being knowledgeable, they’re FRIENDLY, and they’ve been legitimate jewelers since they were practically teenagers (its a family business). I went to about 10 stores before trying Sage, which was based on a recommendation from a friend, and it was the first time I went into a jewelry store and didn’t feel like I was being taken advantage of regarding pricing. New to the area, I took a chance with going to Sage Jewelers, bringing in my gold name plate necklace for chain repair.

My experience was awesome! The men behind the counter are very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. After showing me a few things and explaining why my chain wasn’t a good fit for my name plate, we decided it made more sense to replace the chain. (My chain wasn’t a good quality to support a name plate hence why i brought it in broken in two places with a rinky-dink clasp) Most important - I never felt rushed or pressured to purchase anything. They showed me different lengths, what would compliment the other existing chain i wear that has a few charms on it, different chain styles and quality.

The new chain is absolutely beautiful, the cost was extremely reasonable (50% off!) , as a new customer they gave me a deal on the labor and expected turn around to add the name plate is way faster than i was anticipating. Wish i took pictures of the chain before but i will update this with a picture once I pick up my new chain!
