First the good points:
Nice clean attractive faculty.
Adequate server staff and prompt attentive service, but the food was slow moving from the kitchen to the table.
And the not so good issues:
Seriously inadequate parking for a facility of this size. Also inadequate parking for handicapped customers.
Very high price for so-so food.
$10.29 for a quite ordinary plain Belgian waffle served with an oversized blob of "butter" and some ordinary artificial maple flavored syrup. Just the waffle, nothing else for $10,49.
When I paid for my food the minimum gratuity was 22%.
The service was OK, but I resent a minimum gratuity policy.
This is a trendy, somewhat upscale restaurant in a higher value location and can't truly be compared to Waffle House, but Waffle House really has better breakfast offerings for far less cost. And adequate free parking 24 hours every day.
And to be fair, Waffle House is not a trendy place like First Watch. They draw customers from different socio-economic levels.
So, it depends on whether you are looking for a good meal at a modest price in simple surroundings or mediocre meal for an inflated price in a trendy place.
Cash, debit and credit cards accepted. Open from morning to mid...
Read moreWe Got seated pretty quickly. HOWEVER, there was food allll under the booth that we got seated at..(yuck.. cant believe the hostess was even comfortable seating us there..) & she can’t say she didn’t see it, because WE saw it as we were walking up to the booth. Ended up telling the server we wanted to move because of it, so we moved to a table, which ALSO had trash under it. Another server for that table came to take our drink order, & I asked if someone could PLEASE sweep under our table. As she left to go get our drink orders, I noticed that ALOT of tables that customers were sitting at & were being seated at had Food under them from the last customers. When our server came back (Tindel,) she brought our drinks, along with a BROOM, & immediately swept up the mess. I ordered the million dollar bacon & over-medium eggs with toast. My eggs were over cooked, & the bacon was a bit charred at the ends, but it was still pretty ok. Tindel was quick, kept coming back to our table repeatedly to check on us, & had a great personality, it gets 4 stars because of her. (Ask for her if you go…) Overall pretty good place, but they need to start cleaning under those tables because no one wants to...
Read moreMy friend is obsessed with First Watch. We indulged her and decided to join her for brunch there one day. We went to the newest Kentuckiana location on a Sunday. Full disclosure, I should have put our names in on the virtual wait list. It would have helped expedite our visit. We were quoted a 25 minute wait, but it ended up being longer. We got worried we were forgotten. Thankfully we weren’t. But we know what to do for next time. When we did get seated, I got a coffee which was flavorful with great hazelnut creamers on the table. My friends got the seasonal drinks which were quite frankly gorgeous. We got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cinnamon roll as a snack to share. It was heavenly! For brunch we all got something different. My friend got the vegetarian sandwich, which she found hearty and flavorful. My friend who was jonesing for First Watch got the vegetarian eggs Benedict which was tasty. I got the Floridian French Toast with Grits. It was very yummy and I really appreciated it. I wish time wise this visit had been more efficient, our wait time was different than anticipated and our cinnamon roll actually came at the end of our visit. We will have to give this spot...
