I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Walgreens involving compromised gift cards. I purchased 8 gift cards, and upon checking, I found that 3 of them had been scratched off and redeemed, even though the packaging was sealed. When I brought this to the attention of the store manager, they offered no solution to help resolve the issue.
I suggested practical ways to prevent this from happening to others, such as moving gift cards behind the register, having customers open them before leaving the store, or removing compromised cards from the shelves. However, the manager was uninterested in implementing any of these solutions. They claimed this was an "isolated incident" and even suggested that someone else could have tampered with the cards before they were placed on the shelf.
What makes this even more frustrating is that last year, gift cards at this store were kept behind the register, which likely prevented such issues. This year, they are displayed in the open, making them more vulnerable to tampering. The dismissive attitude and lack of accountability from the staff made the situation worse.
I expected better from Walgreens and hope they take steps to address this issue to protect other customers. I’m also waiting to find out if a security guard at my son’s preschool, for whom one of these cards was intended, has been affected by this fraudulent activity.
I’ll be reaching out to Walgreens corporate and reporting this to the appropriate consumer protection agencies, as this level of negligence is unacceptable. For now, I advise others to be cautious when purchasing gift cards from this location. I even suggest opening them before leaving the store in front of the staff or video recording onself opening up the gift card prior to gifting it someone to ensure that the cards havent been scratched...
Read moreI was just racially profiled at this Walgreens. I am starting to see a trend in the brownsboro road area hikes point . I entered the store to purchase toilet paper and tylenol while I'm standing in the ale to get my tylenol employee Helen all of a sudden pops up and starts to straighten one pack of lip balm on a hanging rack. I needed vitimans so I prceeed to look at the large variety of vitimans and Helen is still standing there staighting the same lip balm. A lady came up to ask her a question so feeling like I was being watched I decided to move just to see if my mind was playing tricks on me. So now at this point Brian a store manager is pacing the aisle I'm in which the Christmas ale. Helen tells Brian to go and pick up the roll of paper in the ale and he stays I the aisle. There is only four people in the store and two were white men an older white lady and a middle aged white lady but the two employees continued to stay by me. I confronted the employees since they were right there in my face asking them if they were following me they both denied of course. I put my items down and walked out of the store I turned to walk back in to make sure I had their names and they where back at their stations not following any one else in the store. I have never stole anything and I work hard every day to pay for what I want. When will people stop the foolishness. Read moreHad a terrible experience with the manager Val Ryan at this store. We have sick people at home and we've used same day delivery from this store multiple times. Today we placed an order at 4pm that was scheduled for 6pm and it never arrived. When I called the store Ms. Ryan was misinformed and stated that the store didn't offer same day delivery. I explained I was looking at the website and it clearly showed that option. I had placed multiple orders. The staff were rude and said "I must be tripping" and refused to assist. Immediately after our call the store cancelled my order. I called Walgreens national support and they apologized repeatedly and were very surprised that a store manager wasn't aware of same day delivery which is placed through their own website. I called back and first Ms. Ryan hung up on me. I called again, explained that I talked to national support and confirmed they offer delivery. She continued to argue and behave rudely. Never once did she apologize or seek to make things right. I have sick people at home and trusted Walgreens to provide a delivery. We won't be making that mistake again. Shame on your Ms. Ryan.
