Bama Barbecue & Grill — Restaurant in Northport

I will never return for a meal here. I had the rib plate it had 5 ribs bake beans and slow. Plenty of food but the quality was very poor. I say that because the ribs had no smoke flavor to them until I dipped it in the very small amount of BBQ sauce I received with the flavorless ribs. I threw my plate away and walked out because the 2 ladies in the back was being very rude to the young lady that was trying to take customers orders and was in tears because it seemed like the poor cashier couldn't satisfie the ones doing the so called cooking. I felt bad for the girl up front. I get better ribs at the local grocery store than I got here. The only reason I stopped in here is because Archibalds BBQ was closed. This incidence happened on April 23 2017 between 11:00am and 11:30am so everything should have been fresh tasting. But it was terrible. My daughter called in an order of 100 wings for me. I use to live in Northport and would buy their wings all the time. The first red flag was when the person answered the phone. We asked for 100 wings and the person acted shocked and was rude, then went to see if the cook could do the order, she said yes. Well when my daughter went to pick them up, everyone one stared at her like she was not supposed to be there. She stated that the cashier just stood there and looked at her. She finally said I have a call in for 100 wings. The cook heard here and came to let her know that they ready it was only then when the cashier tried to play nice. I had been away for many years, came back and had to go to Bama BBQ. Bob would roll over in his grave if he knew how much the quality has dropped. I ordered a slab of ribs, they were dry and a bit tough. Did not appear to have been seasoned at all and they came with a tiny cup of sauce that wasn't enough for five ribs. This is not the restaurant bob started and worked so very hard for. I am just disappointed, they once had the best ribs in central Alabama and now there not even on the list. We miss you Bob!
