At 11, there were people inside already. We went to the counter and ordered our food. I ordered a small Lucille signature pizza and a small house salad. The salad has lettuce, tomatoes, croutons, cheese, and a pickle. The dressing is really fresh. They didn't have thousand island, but the comeback dressing tastes just like it. My total was $16.48. My friend ordered the small house salad and a small Kujo pizza with bacon, hickory ham, pepperoni, Italian sausage, ground beef, onions, green peppers, black olives & mushrooms. It's hard to find and taste each ingredient that is supposed to be on it. They mixed up our order. They gave my friend my pizza and I was still waiting for it. They brought a medium pizza to our table that we didn't order. Then they took our tickets back up to the counter. They came back saying that the pizza that my friend had already eaten a slice of was supposed to be mine. They brought her pizza out and took away the medium pizza. They didn't offer to make me another or to reimburse me. I just ate what was left of mine and a slice from hers. There were two registers open when we got there and then they shut down to one. By 11:15, the place was packed and formed a single line all the way to the door well after 12. It was strange to watch the servers walking around confused with pizzas looking for the right customer to give it to out of at least three rooms full of people. They had a hard time finding them. It seems to me that the customers should pick up their own food when their number is called. There is also a game room with various machines for the kids to play. Only two kids were in there. We got up to leave but didn't see anywhere to put the salad bowls or pizza pans. I guess they clear the tables. It was an experience. Oh, and the small build-your-own pizza states that it is $5.99 with all the toppings you can choose, along with crust and sauce that you pick, but the catch is, you pay an additional $1.50 for each of those toppings. The drinks aren't cheap either. I brought my own water. The drinks are $3.00. A cup of water is 25 cents. A 20 oz bottle of...
Read moreWell it is one of the better pizza places in Tuscaloosa, what is not hard to do, but is definitely not what the Italians mean when they say pizza. Unfortunately. I was hoping that this would finally be something where someone who had a real pizza would be doing what it should be but no, again a disappointment. First you stand in line and wait until you get to the register to be able to order the food, than you get your cups and get your drinks, and then you find a table you want to sit at. Some 10 minutes later our pizza was delivered. I had the El Diablo, small, and a chef salad , small, and when I say small, it was super small. Small pizza is about 6 to 7 inches. The taste of the pizza was okay, but just okay. an Americanized pizza that had a funny sweet taste, never had a sweet pizza before... however, when we where done we shortly thought about getting a desert but to wait for a half hour in line to order desert... no.. not that important. FOOD: I gave 2 stars for the pizza because a) size, b)taste and c) price, $10 for the small one - it would have to surprise me with a super taste to convince me that this price was okay. SERVICE, one star... bringing Pizza from the kitchen to the table... not really service... and AMBIENT: 5 stars, they had put a lot of thoughts in to the decoration and i have to say I liked it a lot. Maybe one sentence to the comment "political rally", I didn't personally see that, there are multiple TV's hanging, some had MSNBC, yes, some had FOX running... well you choose the table you are sitting at and you decide what you looking at, of course they could put some football game on them that happened last year but I guess people only watch nees while eating soo... i thought it was...
Read moreHorrible experience. Long line to wait to order. Soda machines were out so only water (but charge $.50 a cup). Ordered a medium pizza, side salad, spaghetti and meatballs + side salad. Pizza came out hot in about 10-15 minutes. After a half hour of waiting, I went back up to the front to see where the spaghetti and side salads were. Someone at front said they had a large group come in and they are just coming out now—note there were no large groups we saw. As others have noted below, the spaghetti and meatballs is horrible, basically a child’s portion for $14, and is really only pre-cooked microwaved pasta with some pizza sauce thrown on and a handful of pre-done over spiced/salted meatballs. Inedible and partly cold. They obviously dump it out and pop it in the microwave, which makes it even less excusable that after a half hour it was not ready. Will not be going back and will not be recommending this or using this for any kind of work events. Service is nonexistent and no one came to check on us or our table. The atmosphere is odd, overdone, and loud. It’s basically not Chuck E. Cheese, but not Pizza Hut or upscale. Something in between. After the half hour wait and having to go up front to check on our own food, no real apology and nothing off the bill.
Note from pic, that is the full $14 portion before eating and a full sized fork for size. Parking...
