At this location in Northport, AL on McFarland Blvd, I had the worse experience. The manager BENNY is racist and was very rude to me! I left upset and I'm still upset about my experience. I came in the store with my purse just like any other woman. I was shopping in the bead aisle and this lady came up to me asking me questions about what I was buying. She was very weird but I didn't think nothing of it. I seen an associate talking to her as if they were working together and I suddenly knew the lady was loss pervention. I became very upset because I knew I was being racially profiled. Y'all don't think black woman make jewelry??! Im not from here I'm from Virginia and I go to Hobby Lobby all the time. I make jewelry for my friends and family and I plan on starting my own business. I get to the front and I opened my purse and take out a hobby lobby bag to make an exchange from the day before. The cashier was doing my return and the manager BENNY HARE came up there and told me VERY rudely "if you have a return you bring it to the front first". His attitude was NASTY!! I would've appreciated more if he would have said hey ma'am when you have a return next time bring it to the front. NOT ONCE did I open my purse in the store until I got to the front. So he assumed from the moment I walked in the store that I must be stealing and I know it's because I'm black. I was not the only woman in the store with a purse and nobody else was stopped. I am a CUSTOMER. Benny had the worse customer service I have ever received in my life. And the one thing that makes me the most upset is I DID NOT open my purse at all the entire time while I was shopping. I was RACIALLY PROFILED. They see a black woman with a purse and ASSUME she must be stealing. I am disgusted and very angry. Never will I ever shop at this...

Right now people are having hard time paying for gas and food. If they don't change stuff up and bring in some new stuff to try and infuse new excitement into the place to people that shop there a lot they are going to stop coming as much because they have bought most of what they need. Should done some children's art class hobby stuff this summer . No one can aford.the vacations in my area. The gas prices are.killing business and the people who work. Maybe they will reopen the gas in our country when everything is sucked dry . Read moreI recall the days of yore when stores had extended holiday hours for Christmas. Got there a few minutes before 8. Thought would have been open til at least 9. Nope. Was told as I walked in I had three minutes to shop. My son parked the car as it was raining. I went straight to the items I had stopped specifically for did not peruse for additional purchases and was in line to check out within three minutes. Just to see my son tredge through the rain to have the door locked in his face. Having worked retail for years I do understand closing time but could it not have been handled differently? Honestly had we known it was closing time would not have stopped in the rain then felt like we were such a...
