I recently had the pleasure of organizing a celebratory gathering for a large group of teachers on our last day of school, and I couldn't have asked for a better venue than Barcelona Waypointe. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our group and create a truly memorable experience.

I had the pleasure of communicating with Brandon, the General Manager of Barcelona Waypointe, prior to our event. I wanted to ensure that they could accommodate our group of 22, and Brandon's professionalism and attentiveness were truly commendable. When we arrived, he had reserved a spacious area, ensuring that we had enough room to comfortably mingle and celebrate together.

The personalized thank you sign that was displayed in our designated area immediately caught our attention. It was clear that Barcelona Waypointe went the extra mile to make us feel appreciated and valued. The thoughtful gesture set the tone for the evening, creating a sense of warmth and gratitude among our group.

The culinary expertise at Barcelona Waypointe was second to none. The food surpassed our expectations in every way. Each dish was served hot, bursting with flavor, and meticulously presented. It was evident that the chefs at Barcelona Waypointe take immense pride in their craft. The quality of the food truly elevated our celebration and left a lasting impression on all of us. The bartenders crafted an array of cocktails, catering to the diverse preferences of our group. From classic favorites to innovative concoctions, each drink was expertly mixed and beautifully presented.

Brandon's personal touch extended beyond the initial introductions. Throughout the evening, he made it a point to circulate among the teachers, ensuring that everyone was having a fantastic time. His genuine interest in our experience made us feel like honored guests, and his attention to detail was admirable. Despite the size of our group, the entire staff at Barcelona Norwalk remained attentive and accommodating. The servers displayed a remarkable level of professionalism and friendliness, which contributed to the overall positive atmosphere of the restaurant.

I came to this location yesterday afternoon with a friend of mines for the first time. I was very excited to share my enjoyment of this place with them, that’s not what exactly what happened. We very much enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere, now the service was sub par. When we arrived to the restaurant they weren’t very busy had a few tables, they did have a baby shower party. So when the service was starting to be an issue we did take into consideration they had a party going on. Yet I noticed our server was only waiting on tables separate from the party, cause they had 3 servers attending to them. We couldn’t find our server and then when we would he’d attend to other tables. I had to stop the a diferente server to order more food and drinks. Our server came around 20 minutes later and than asked us if we wanted dessert and our check when we weren’t done ordering food. We ordered our last tapas and a drink, we waited 20 minutes for one of our tapas of our two tapas to come. Than when we told our waiter we are waiting for one our tapas he said he could get that’s to the table quickly, which he did but it was barley even warm.. When it came to wanting the check he wasn’t to be found again. So I asked this lady who I think might’ve been a Assistant Manager , she attended us very quickly and gave us a better experience. Updated review 2025: Once again, Barcelona does not honor reservations. They took literally 8 different reservations for the 7:15 time slot, and we weren't seated until 8. Management: either honor your reservations, or stop taking them, you are highly inconsiderate for blatantly lying to people giving them a false sense of security. I am shocked you have gotten away with this for over 5 years, but I suppose at this point, shame on me for coming back thinking it would be any different.

Original review 2020: This place is terrible for reservations and if you read the other 1-star reviews they agree. This place repeatedly and blatantly disregards reservations, begging the question of why take them in the first place?!

I made a reservation for a birthday several days in advance, and I even saw it on their computer screen when we walked in. We were not seated for nearly an hour, to the point where even the bartender asked us incredulously "are you still waiting for your table?". I would have assumed the staff forgot about us but they repeatedly checked in on us and lied that the table was "being cleared off". I have never been treated so rudely at an establishment and would have left had it not been for someone's birthday. If you are going to blatantly disregard reservations why not just say you don't take them, rather than misleading people?

This is a chain restaurant, you deserve better than overpriced...
